- Phan Quang Tue: [about being evacuated during the Fall of Saigon] I knew that the end was approaching. When you are at the center of the storm, you have to get out. When I myself, and my immediate family, and my father and his immediate family, went to Tahn Son Nhut Airport, through the whole thing I said, "This is crazy, you know. Why do we have to leave under these conditions?" It was so humiliating, and I carried that humiliation with me to the United States. When I get in line to sign up for a job, I remind them of the war in Vietnam, which the Americans hate. You have to lose a nation and a dream to feel... to feel that humiliation.
