Fred goes to the well once more -dullsville
lor_11 May 2016
Circa 1999/2000 I discovered fledgling superstar Mandingo, and watched a hundred or so of his videos, in the VHS format. Most were for West Coast Productions, the leading Black-oriented niche label of the day, while others were with Jake Steed (pretty harsh in his put-downs of Fred=Mandingo, who was often embarrassingly limp without his stash of Viagra), or memorable outings with Rodney Moore and Jules Jordan.

Years later Mandingo took over directing his own vehicles and they became deadly dull. Just as he's finally truly hitting the big-time, injected into some of those best- selling new IR spectaculars, this newish item from good old West Coast reminded me of those dull ones.

The women are all A-OK and cannot be faulted. Avluv and Calvert are certifiable superstars; Chase quite appealing in the big-bust sweepstakes and the other 2 gals fresh faces. But Mandingo's regimented format of tease, timid blow jobs (these pros barely get the tip of the iceberg swallowed) and then positions by the numbers is tired. It was already tired and worn out circa 2004.

So for IR action I'm afraid West Coast and even gentle Fred himself have been outclassed and certainly outflanked by the stream of blacked.com and Hard X product milking this dead horse of a genre. True connoisseurs would be better off watching Red Baron or no-name stud porn loops from the early '70s, many of which have been compiled on DVDs in nostalgia packages, but planned obsolescence dictates that we've been trained to salivate for the newest and most slickly packaged release. "Naughty Wives Club" is neither vintage nor fresh - it's just going through the motions time.
