Lucifer's Guilt
devsengupta091 November 2016
The show just keeps on spiraling upwards. Tom Ellis's acting especially is becoming better and better with each passing episode. The cases themselves aren't very interesting, the dynamics between the characters however, are. The character development is on point and the cliffhangers are excellent. This episode introduced some new plot twists to the story line. So far this episode is the best episode in Season 2. Every character on this show has been given enough backstory to feel sympathetic towards them. The first season was good, this time its even better. What's more, is that the story line involving Lucifer's family is generating more hype. It would be a rather blast to see how everything goes down ultimately.

Grief is not as heavy as guilt, but it takes more away from you

Warning: Spoilers
Lucifer seems to be riddled with a guilty conscience, as he starts to plunge into a void of despair. For someone who punishes the guilty he points his cross hairs at himself. Chloe notices the bizarre mood swings and she tries to keep him in check. With a strong performance from Ellis and a fine screenplay, the show seems to be taking it's mold. And with a full season ordered, I am curious how fast the show will progress. Perhaps the most fascinating relationship is between Maze and Trixie, As Maze shows her true colors to Trixie and she seems amused with her. Speaking of showing true colors, Lucifer decides to do the same with his therapist Linda, however, unlike Trixie's reaction, She is horrified by Lucifer's colors. This episode will have the biggest impact on how this show will progress and it will make Lucifer think twice before he reveals his identity to anyone else.

Charlotte seems to be focusing on Amenadiel, trying to help him cope with the fact that his brother is no longer of this world. She seems sincere, but I can't help but question her motives. If memory serves, she has a reputation for being deceitful. If that is the case, I am curious to see what she has planned.

Finally, the mojo from the first season is back. Good thriller. Lots of emotional depth with Lucifer and the family. Nice humor with Maise and Trixie, with a slight dark edge. And the piano is back!

Emotions

Warning: Spoilers
Oh, this was great.. I thought he would reveal himself earlier but it's not what made this episode great. It was Luci's grief, his guilt, his emotions. And also..I haven't found Luci that much sexy before but that mess inside and outside made him so hot..

I just Love this series but... the procedural part should be gone.

Warning: Spoilers
The episode was pretty good and we have glimpse on Lucifer character's development.

The end was really unexpected but wanted since a while (I wished it happened in the very first season).

And we had a punisher there...

But I am getting tired of the procedural part. I never liked Chloe, but I hoped her character had shared something with the celestial beings. I just believe it is there for nothing except showing the mood for what is happening to Lucifer... and it is taking the show.

Just make a spin off or give Chloe her own show... but I really need more Lucifer and less Chloe.

I know a lot of fans from the comic book are angry because this adaptation is not like the source, but let's be honest is an adaptation, and a lot of adaptations on air are not like the source (look at The Strain, and you'll understand me) and get more viewers. But is time to be more "Lucifer" and less procedural. Seriously.

Now,I always thought that Linda was a flat character. That she was there for nothing. But in this episode, the end was awesome, and the actress was amazing showing a real fear and sad emotion. I applaud her.

And for Mazikeen... I love her character! Lesley-Ann Brand is stunning as Maze. I hope the writers don't turn her in a "tender rabbit". She is a fierce warrior loyal to Lucifer. Don't ruin her, please. Anyways... I liked how she was with Trixie, reminded me to "Faith" from the vampire slayer (no comparison, I know... but she gave me that vibe).

Last but not least: GAVE THE MOTHER OF ANGELS MORE!! She is just a shadow, and need to be more on screen, and have more story. Why are the angels so afraid of her? WE NEED MORE!

That's all.

8.5/10 for me.

I love this series, it just need and upgrade.

"Amenadiel: It's time I faced the truth, brother. I've fallen. Lucifer: Well, welcome to the club. Meetings are on Tuesdays."

Satan's Little Helper and L. A. Police Detective don't mix, Mazikeen is quite obviously not the ideal house mate nor, female role model for an impressionable youngster such as Trixie Espinoza.

Just how is anyone supposed to 'Process' the death of his brother, when he is the one who is directly responsible for his untimely demise?

Will mum and son become closer over the death of another son, Amenadiel is coming apart at the seems suffering from an overwhelming surfeit of emotions?

In the latest L. A. murder spree P. D. Consultant Lucifer Morningstar, cuts corners on police protocol surprise surprise, the perennial gonad buster Detective Decker threatened to 'Bench him', but she is overstepping her authority, as he is not even employed by the L. A. P. D.

Is Chloe Decker really coming to like Lucifer, since the death of his brother Uriel he has been in meltdown, being unable to get through to him she suggested that he talks to his therapist.

But is Doctor Linda Martin really qualified to help Lucifer Morningstar with his angst, even when he is finally trying to unload his overwhelming guilt complex, when all she really understands is school book therapy, as she desperately puts everything he says to yet more metaphors?
