On the Firing Line (1936)
* 1/2 (out of 4)
This early film takes a look at Tuberculosis and how they are trying to improve the medicine so that less people will die from it.
This twenty minute short has pretty much been forgotten to time except for a brief clip that shows Waverly Hills in Louisville, KY. This sanitarium is now known as one of the most haunted locations in America so thousands of people flock there each year to see if they can witness a haunting. This short appears on Youtube and is connected to the haunted location so that people can see it in function back in the day. Those wanting to see that will be disappointed because there's only about a minutes worth of footage. It's still cool to see if you've visited Waverly Hills like I have but the rest of the film is pretty dull and boring. It's is unique to watch it as a product of its time because of how minorities are viewed and especially poor people.
