Thomas Frick has managed to do the impossible with very limited means and made a web series with 3 seasons to boot. Crime shows don't generally interest me but I dig the vibe Frick has created for his show. I love the world building that went into the show and the storyline is generally thought out but at times the limited budget and resources show. I think if the show is to continue, Thomas Frick should use a new and original villian and stick to what Dexter did for most of its run of having him tackle a new foe more dangerous than the one before while sorting out his private life. Overall the production value is great for what it is and guerilla filmmaking at its finest. Some legit professional television shows are inferior to Darkest Case because of stale writing and not trying anything new. Having worked on a couple of Frick's short films, he has his work cut out for him and more organized than a lot of productions. My only other critic his short films are way too similar in the plot and style of Darkest Case. Seeing Clinton Bailiff act as one of the main villains is worth the binge watching of the whole series.
