A fantastic series, very well made

The Doctor Who Fan Film Series, created by Dynamic Works 2012, is very highly regarded in the Doctor Who online fandom. I have watched this series since it was first broadcast in 2013, and I was taken aback with joy and interest. From the word go the sets and props has been fantastic, the scripts are full of well-rounded characters, and the acting has been superb. The Little Red Doctor has gone on a fantastic journey from regenerating into his Matt Smith-esque persona to evolving into something more mysterious. One of the highlights of this series is the TARDIS interior set, which I followed on TARDISBuilders.com during its construction. Actors such as Ryan Hennessey and Chloe Naughton have been some of my favourite things about the series, and I am proud to call some people who have worked on this series friends. A truly excellent series which I can't wait to see progress in the future.

Warning: Spoilers
Little bit of bad green screening from Series 1, but still good, even Series 5 is starting good.

FGreat Production Value, Poor Acting

I respect all the work that must go into all of the fan films that they make. The sheer scale they can reach, like with the 50th anniversary special they did astounds me, but I can't get myself through them due to the acting. Luke, who plays The Doctor, for the most part acts well, but everyone else just doesn't seem to act well and it pulls me out of it.

So In summary, production value and scale, amazingly impressive, acting, not that great

Incredibly shiny, lacks heart.

Stunning Tardis, amazing CGI for a fan production, admirable drive to churn out episodes.

But it falls on a lot of classic fan-film tropes; the writing is cliched, the acting is exactly what you'd expect from fans, rubber kids masks even as their series began to improve, multiple shots are out of focus or poorly framed and the editing isn't streamlined.

An incredible following has to be commended, but perhaps this obvious fan-series spreading its wings too wide by setting up shop on imdb.
