When you're in on the joke, it makes it funnier...

It must be difficult to break new ground with a TV series...Many different stars ( literally and figuratively) must align...It's nice to see these veterans get together and produce something watchable and entertaining...

Grinder is just that type of show, this episode, "From the Ashes" is so sarcastic it just makes you smile...I'm glad that Jason Alexander makes a showing...He is always a great add to any comedy show...

I only wrote this review because somebody, anybody, must carry the water...In a sense, I too, and indeed we all, have a bit of Grinder in us~sigh~

The Grinder rises (and sort of a Seinfeld reunion)

Warning: Spoilers
This is the 17th episode of the only series of The Grinder (unfortunately the network failed to renew this gem of a series). It's also the 6th last episode of the season.

Dean "The Grinder" Sanderson makes a serious attempt to be a law student and his lecturer and students hold him in awe. Star power helps to persuade the lecturer to start back at day 1 for Torts! Dean struggles with his former Grinder persona, but it's difficult to bury The Grinder.

This episode is directed by erstwhile Seinfeld director, Andy Ackerman, and Jason Alexander as Cliff Bemis returns. Due credit must go to the cast who aren't credited in IMDb: Crista Flanagan as Professor Danforth, Katherine McNamara (who resembles Isla Fisher) as Ginger, and Karan Soni as Cooper.
