I stumbled upon this short film and was absolutely intrigued from the beginning.

It tells the story of a man silently loving a girl, played and narrated by Jamie Campbell Bower and Emma Silverton and directed by a young director called Robert Kouba. This short film had very stunning visuals and a great story that acted on me as a viewer with great emotional power. The voice of Jamie narrating this beautiful poem made this short film really stand out. His performance is tremendous and the girl fits really well too. I love the writing, the music, I love it whole! It definitely touched my heart.

Thank you, Robert Kouba, for these breathtaking 2 minutes!

Poem and random street recordings

Warning: Spoilers
"Caer" is the most recent work by up-and-coming Swiss filmmaker Robert Kouba. It was released in 2016 and is a really short movie at slightly under 2 minutes. We see a man and a woman in a street and the two seem to have a special connection. At the same time, we are listening to voice-over narration quoting an okay poem. Nothing great, nothing bad. but I did not really like the narrator's voice too much. I am not sure if the fact that this does not look like an American film at all is a pro, but you'd never guess the filmmaker's nationality by his work here. I think I have seen some other works by him too and I must admit that until now I am not sold on him being the next big thing possibly. Maybe if he keeps steadily improving. This one here is really mediocre, slightly on the pretentious side perhaps even and just a better television commercial at under 150 seconds. I give it a thumbs-down. Not recommended.
