There was no special effects, green screen or stunt doubles used in the car crash. There was also no roll cage installed. Doing a double rollover without a cage is extremely rare as the roll-cage is used to protect the driver. Not having a roll cage is what allowed him to get out of the car so quickly.
The shoot was cancelled and re-scheduled several times due to issues regarding the location and people's schedules.
It took over six months to find a location and get permission to film the car stunt.
