Remember that episode of Gilligan's Island where Gilligan saves Mr. Howell's life, so Howell adopts Gilligan? This is the animated adaptation of that episode. The difference here is that the island is now populated by domesticated animals that do chores. An elephant that vacuums! An octopus that does dishes! A gorilla chauffeur! There's never an explanation as to how the castaways are joined by these animals - it is what it is! It's hilariously ridiculous! it kind of gets in the way of the story of Gilligan getting beefed up to be man enough for Mary Ann - a misunderstanding by the Skipper. What's missing, too is that wants to please his new dad, Howell, so he abandons his friends and becomes a snob. Even to his new family! It's a fun story, just a little over-complicated by unnecessary extras.
