Many of the jokes have a long build-up to what I consider a good pay-off, and the show weaves and winds as it calls back to itself multiple times. I love his style of story telling and joke crafting, and as such I watched this special over and over again, and sometimes use snippets day-to-day. Having seen it as much as I have I've started to notice him laughing at his jokes more, but I don't mind when comedians do that, especially as on my first watch I was laughing too, so didn't even notice the nice natural pause.
I have shown it to multiple friends, and while many have said they didn't love it, they also said it felt like having a conversation with me, so they understand why I would enjoy it as much as I do. One friend put it on again one time just so they could watch me watch it, and concluded that it must be a special for people with ADD or something.
There is a fun musical number at the end that was recorded as part of the specials bookends which I found was fun and easy to listen to, and I would love for those to guys to actually pop in the studio and actually record that song.
