"Black Tie White Tie" touches a subject that is almost always side stepped or ignored in the study of American history. The film brings this subject forward in a gentle manner.

The film has a good flow that explained the research process which adds support to its truth and could serve to educate. The interviews were natural and relaxed.

The process of research is explained from the desire to find answers through introduction of family members that ends with white cousins speaking on camera proving a true family situation.

The film was professional in every way and tells the story it intended.
