Terrific start.

A body is found in a suitcase in a river, well preserved Cassie and Sunny begin putting the pieces together on just who he was.

It feels identical to the first episode of the first series, we are given a group of new characters, all of whom seem too good to be true, they will of course link together at the end.

We are getting more of the personal loves of our detective duo, in particular we are seeing more of Sunny's home life, it's great.

More Waking the dead vibes with Holly Aird appearing, we also have the different music played on the cutaway scenes to the mortician.

It feels like Waking the dead with new characters, and that's great. 9/10.

Now that Cassie and Sunny are established in our minds, we get to see more of their personal lives. Once again we are introduced to the people who will be a part of this season. A cancer nurse and here competitive sister. A gay couple trying to adopt a girl, met by an extortionist. And the parents of the victim who was found in trunk/suitcase in a river. The key clue involves a watch the victim was wearing.

Enjoyable but nonsense.

Warning: Spoilers
The Unforgotten is watchable but in many ways rather silly, for starters we always see the two main characters roaming around the country, interviewing witnesses and suspects when they would be office bound managing the enquiry. The legwork and the interviews are done by DS's and DC's.

In this series a body is found in the Cotswolds an area covered by Gloucestershire Constabulary yet the Met are called in from the word go.

It also then becomes apparent that the victim was last seen in the City of London, yet no CoLP officers are involved.

Still jolly to watch.

Started off great but! Warning: Spoilers
Started off great but became stupid. A couple try to keep a secret by shouting as loud as possible. Their kid overhears and tells everyone at school. A barrister who doesn't have a lock on his phone and who leaves it on the table when a druggie demands money from him.
