Scholar Berry has continued his labor of love research into a not so well known 1976 feature and has expanded his short to 5o minutes in length. The background into why and how Countdown to Kusini was made and especially what mistakes were made in arranging a distributor are fascinating to anyone interested in film history.Berry has highlighted the way the original concept of an entertainment movie produced outside Hollywood and funded by a sorority (which could supposedly draw on its large membership, their families and friends as an audience) could work in the future to make money even though it failed this first time.I like the way he finds hope in the 45 year old idea!
