I saw this film at the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention in Tucson this past weekend. It was one of several short films featured in the Mini-Film Festival featured by Apocalypse Later. I was fully impressed by the richness of "Monty and the Runaway Furnace" as well as the way the whole film looked and felt. The audience couldn't help but fall in love with the character of "Monty" (Dierkop) as he lovingly cares for the old furnace, and be disgusted by the actions of the pompous "Walter Vintucket, III" (Passoja). Overall, the best description that I can think of for this film is "brilliant!!" I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see this film!
