I'm still not really struck on the new family I'm afraid to say. The JJ character shows a bit of promise, but the others have not made a mark in any shape or form. There's a hint that JJ might be tracking someone down, there's a hint that they might be running away from someone, but the show needs to pick which storyline it's running with and quick where they are concerned.
What works best is when it deals with the legendary characters, and Susan/Karl get their time in this episode. It's all wonderfully played, and links in nicely to what had occurred in the 2022 episodes.
This was the last episode of the first week of the new 'Neighbours' and while there's still lots of questions to be answered, it's been great to have it back.
