Malayalee from India Movie Review Rating:
Star Cast: Nivin Pauly, Anaswara Rajan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Deepak Jethi
Director: Dijo Jose Antony
Malayalee from India Movie Review(Photo Credit –IMDb)
What’s Good: Nivin Pauly’s performance injects energy and charm, especially in comedic moments alongside Dhyan’s Malghosh. Additionally, Deepak Jethi’s portrayal of a Pakistani figure brings moments of genuine emotion to the story.
What’s Bad: The film’s disjointed script and overstretched duration dampen its impact and engagement.
Loo Break: About half an hour into the film, during the song Krishna.
Watch or Not?: If you enjoy Nivin Pauly’s performances and are okay with a somewhat disjointed storyline, it might be worth a watch for its sporadic feel-good moments and political commentary. However, you should pass on this if you prefer more cohesive narratives.

Players of Bungie’s Destiny franchise are no doubt well aware that the long-awaited finale to its epic Light and Darkness Saga arrives in a little over a month. But with dwindling player numbers and an uncertain future, a potential Destiny 3 may be the only hope the series has left.
I’ve previously written about how the franchise’s rigid, increasingly stale content structure slowly drove me away from the games over the course of a decade. Despite a deep love for the series, as it stands, the proposition of leaving once the story wraps up in The Final Shape is all too tempting. But perhaps Destiny 3 can change that.
Our End Begins, Indeed Lightfall’s strand abilities couldn’t shake up the game enough to keep me invested.
Once Lightfall released as a massive, anticlimactic disappointment, that was when I decided to uninstall the game once the saga ended.

The Iranian TV journalist who was stabbed last weekend in London is already back live on air, saying attempts to silence him are not going to work.
Pouria Zeraati, a presenter for Iran International TV which broadcasts out of London, was stabbed outside his home in the capital last Friday, and hospitalized with injuries to his leg. The Times newspaper reports that, within hours of the attack, three men identified as suspects departed the country on a flight out of Heathrow Airport, according to counterterrorism police. Tehran officials swiftly denied any connection to the incident.
Zeraati returned to screen on Friday, struggling to walk but otherwise healthy. He has given an interview to The Sunday Times newspaper, revealing he has previously received threats but will not be intimidated into silence:
“It’s not about me. It’s about freedom of speech and informing people that the flow of information cannot...

CNN’s debut of King Charles, the new show featuring Gayle King and Charles Barkley, premiered to 510,000 viewers, according to Nielsen fast national early numbers.
The show’s total viewing audience was well behind rivals: Fox News’ Gutfeld! topped the time slot with 1.97 million viewers, and MSNBC averaged 1.62 million with The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell.
The CNN show, however, did edge out MSNBC in the 25-54 demo, averaging 139,000, compared to 132,000 for MSNBC’s The Last Word and 257,000 for Fox News’ Gutfeld!
King Charles is a once-a-week 10 p.m. Et show on Wednesday evening, and the first show guests included Steve Kerr. The show was part of then-cnn CEO Chris Licht’s strategy of programming primetime with star names. Licht was let go from the network in June, but CNN went forward with the King-Barkley show, which is a limited series that will run through early next year.

Former Principal Deputy Solicitor General of the United States Neal Katyal thinks Donald Trump’s all-over-the-place interview with Megyn Kelly isn’t the most “unwise strategy.”
On “The Last Word with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell,” Katyal, who formerly worked under President Obama, pointed out that Trump’s verbal dodge and weave tactics provide him the extrajudicial defense he needs.
“I know everyone’s saying, ‘Well, Trump is reckless in giving this interview,’ and the like. I have a different view. I actually think that this is not an unwise strategy for him, because he doesn’t have a legal defense, he doesn’t have a factual defense,” Katyal said.
“The only defense he has is to try and poison the jury pool with his cockamamie nonsense and hope that he can draw a juror that’s going to say this or, as Andrew says, hope that he can just stretch...

MSNBC host and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki is going to primetime.
Inside With Jen Psaki will now run on the cable news channel on Monday nights at 8 p.m. beginning Sep. 25, replacing an hour of All In With Chris Hayes.
Hayes will continue to host his show on Tuesday through Friday nights. Psaki will also continue to host Inside on Sundays at noon, and write her MSNBC political column.
MSNBC noted that, for the past year, All In has had a rotating slate of guest hosts on Monday nights as Hayes has worked on his podcast, an upcoming book, and live events. He will continue to expand his portfolio of content for the company. Psaki, it should be noted, was a frequent guest host for Hayes on Monday nights.

Roundtable Entertainment has announced that they’re teaming up with director Mark Pellington – whose credits include Arlington Road, The Mothman Prophecies, Henry Poole Is Here, The Last Word, The Severing, and Survive, among many other projects – for the adrenaline-fueled human trafficking revenge thriller Mom.
Scripted by Brent Jordan, Mom tells the compelling story of a single mother embarking on a daring cross-country rescue mission, piecing together clues in the search for her teenage daughter who has fallen victim to the horrors of human trafficking.
Casting Director Lisa Zagoria, who assembled the cast for the Best Picture winner Coda, will be handling the casting of this film as well.
Pellington had this to say about the project: “Mom is a fast-moving story of protection and revenge. The film explores the true price of violence and the cost of justice, when an ordinary mom is pushed to an extraordinary place. This is a muscular,...

Donald Trump’s multiple indictments helped propel MSNBC to significant viewership gains during the month of August, while its rivals lost audience compared to the same period a year earlier.
Fox News still topped primetime, and it scored with last week’s coverage of the first Republican presidential debate, which drew 12.8 million viewers on the network and Fox Business. Fox News said the figure rose to 14.5 million when streaming, digital and encore airings were added. The debate was the highest rated non-sports telecast of the year in total viewers, the network said.
In primetime, Fox News averaged 2.03 million viewers, down 13% from the same month a year earlier. MSNBC averaged 1.55 million, up 19% from August, 2022. CNN averaged 723,000, down 1%.
In the 25-54 demo, Fox News averaged 251,000, down 19%, versus MSNBC with 169,000, up 26%, and 147,000 for CNN, down 4%.
In total day, Fox News averaged 1.17 million, down 21%, compared to MSNBC with 952,000, up 18% and CNN with 545,000, down 3%. In the 25-54 demo,...

Jesse Watters’ debut as the permanent occupant of Fox News’ 8 p.m. hour gave the network a boost in the timeslot, versus the series of replacement hosts who have filled the time period since the cancellation of Tucker Carlson’s show.
Jesse Watters Primetime averaged 2.47 million viewers during the hour. That compares to the 1.66 million that Fox News Tonight averaged in June.
Still, Watters’ audience was less than the 3.1 million viewers that Carlson averaged in the time period last July. The network is obviously aiming for Watters’ audience to grow, as Carlson’s did after he replaced Bill O’Reilly in 2017.
Watters on Monday beat cable news rivals, including an MSNBC Joe Scarborough special, which averaged 1.29 million, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, which averaged 686,000.
In the adults 25-54 demo, Watters averaged 161,000 viewers, compared to 139,000 for MSNBC’s Scarborough and 120,000 for CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.

Lawrence O’Donnell thinks the reason behind the decision by Fox News to fire Tucker Carlson has not been fully exposed, but what is public shows that the right-wing personality has a “deeply sick mind.”
“I think there is more, much more that we don’t know about what was revealed in the discovery process of the Dominion [Voting Systems] case that forced Rupert Murdoch to decide to fire the biggest star on his network, who he was paying to publicly be a racist,” O’Donnell said at the start of a lengthy segment Wednesday night.
The host of MSNBC’s “The Last Word” was referring to reports that suggested that Murdoch, executive chairman of Fox Corp., along with other members of the company’s board, drew the line on Carlson over a text message that surfaced during the Dominion case, in which Carlson described watching a group of Trump supporters attack a young...

“The Last Word” host Lawrence O’Donnell aired an eight-minute takedown of South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham on Wednesday night, deriding him for shedding tears for former President Donald Trump but not children killed in school shootings.
“Lindsey Graham has never cried for a single child who has been murdered in a classroom in America. Not one,” O’Donnell said, naming the three children and three adults who were killed in the school shooting in Nashville just last week.
“Lindsey Graham did not shed a single tear for any one of those victims of America’s latest mass murderer who used an Ar-15 to fire 152 bullets in that school,” the host continued. “After that mass murder, Lindsey Graham proudly told reporters in Washington that he owns an Ar-15. He didn’t say why.”

It was a record-breaking night at the 2023 Baftas on Sunday for the anti-war epic All Quiet on the Western Front, which became the most celebrated foreign language film in the organisation’s history with seven wins.
The movie now has the highest number of Baftas for a foreign language film, a record previously held by the Italian coming-of-age drama Cinema Paradiso, which claimed five in 1988.
As well as winning trophies for Best Director and Best Score, among others, All Quiet on the Western Front won the biggest award of the night. It beat out competition for Best Film from The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere All at Once and Tar.
In his acceptance speech, cinematographer James Friend said that the film’s message – that young people can be “poisoned by right-wing nationalistic propaganda” and that “war is more than an adventure” – is as relevant now as it was more...

That’s a wrap on the 2023 Bafta Awards – and there were certainly a few surprises this year.
The glitzy ceremony began with a high energy red carpet at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (19 February), with attendees and nominees strutting their stuff in haute couture looks.
Eddie Redmayne, Anya Taylor-Joy, Sheila Antim, and Lily James were among the best dressed, with stars such as Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett, Gwendoline Christie, and Sophie Turner wearing chic, all-black ensembles that personified gothic-chic.
This year’s ceremony was co-hosted by the somewhat incongruous duo of Richard E Grant and Alison Hammond, the latter of whom said she felt like a “competition winner” herself when she was on stage.
The night’s big winners included Irish dark comedyThe Banshees of Inisherin and Netflix’s All Quiet on the Western Front.

Burt Bacharach, the three-time Oscar-winning and six-time Grammy-winning songwriter, producer, composer and arranger whose vast influence in American popular music stretched from the 1950s into the new millennium, is dead. He passed away Wednesday of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles at 94.
His death was announced by his publicist Tina Brausam.
If you were an avid moviegoer or follower of popular music in the decade between the mid-1960s and the mid ’70s, it was impossible to avoid the massively prolific Bacharach’s compositions. His songs, many done in tandem with lyricist Hal David, included some of the biggest tunes of the era and numerous hits with singer Dionne Warwick: “Walk on By,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose,” “What the World Needs Now,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” “Anyone Who Had a Heart,” “Don’t Make Me Over” and the 1966 theme to the Michael Caine feature “Alfie.

Harry Styles’ Harry’s House found a home at the 2023 Grammys, winning album of the year on the same night Beyoncé became the most decorated artist in Grammy history.
“Shit,” Styles said Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. “I’ve been so, so inspired by every artist in this category with me … I listen to everyone in this category when I’m alone.”
Styles — who also won best pop vocal album — went on to say “there is no such thing as best in music” and that artists don’t make music thinking about “what is going to get us one of these [awards].”
“This is really, really kind. I’m so, so grateful. This doesn’t happen to people like me very often,” he continued.
Beyoncé lost the top three prizes but she still had a historic night by winning 32 Grammys. She won four awards, breaking the record set by conductor Georg Solti,...

A week of seemingly non-stop parties climaxed Sunday night with the 2023 Grammys at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena, and as expected, music’s biggest stars did not hold back as they embraced fearless red-carpet style.
From Taylor Swift in a two-piece gown by Roberto Cavalli’s Fausto Puglisi to Harry Styles in a custom harlequin-patterned jumpsuit by Paris-based EgonLab and Lizzo in custom Dolce & Gabbana with a stunning opera coat, A-listers sported a wealth of unabashed fashion that has become a hallmark of this event — which frankly makes the Grammy Awards the most thrilling awards event of the season.
Oscar night may reign as the Super Bowl of fashion, but the overall tone of that event is undeniably rooted in sophistication and elegance. With the Grammys, viewers simply never know just how far nominated artists and attendees might push the boundaries of outrageous, high-wattage looks to create wow moments.

Trevor Noah returned to host the Grammys for the third time on Sunday night.
In his opening monologue, the former Daily Show host joked that Beyoncé inspired him to leave his seven-year stint as the late night talk show host.
“Beyoncé is nominated for her album Renaissance, which by the way, was better than anything from the actual renaissance in my opinion,” Noah joked. “The Renaissance was just pictures of grapes and stuff. Beyoncé took it to another level. I was so inspired by the lyrics of ‘Break My Soul’ that I actually quit my job. That’s how powerful that was. I just wish Beyoncé had also written a song about the importance of having savings before you quit your job, but maybe the next one.”

Lil Wayne was energetic onstage, getting audience members out of their seats — from Machine Gun Kelly to Swizz Beatz — with a fiery performance of his hits, including “Lollipop,” “A Milli,” “Uproar,” “John” and more.
“I am here on behalf of Young Money Records. I’d like to thank Mr. Davis for having,” Lil Wayne, holding a microphone in one hand and a joint in the other, said Saturday night at the Beverly Hilton. “If you know anything about me, I love to have fun onstage.”

Chris Licht made his first big programming move at CNN with the announcement that Don Lemon will leave primetime (and his post-primetime hour) to anchor a new morning show with Poppy Harlow (who is leaving 9 a.m.) and Kaitlan Collins. For those who mourn the loss of “Don Lemon Tonight,” here’s the thing: It was failing.
“Chris is redeploying our talent in ways he thinks make sense and will resonate,” a CNN spokesperson told IndieWire on Thursday. “This won’t be the last.”
“Don Lemon Tonight” is in last place in viewers across CNN, Fox News Channel, and MSNBC, in both hours. The primetime hour at 10 is down 42 percent year-to-year in total viewers and 48 percent in the key news demographic of adults 25-54, according to Nielsen. Jimmy Kimmel has apologised to Abbott Elementary creator Quinta Brunson for “stealing your moment” after the late-night host crashed her Emmys 2022 acceptance speech.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday (14 September), Brunson walked onstage mid-way through Kimmel’s monologue, and said: “You know how when you win an Emmy, you only have 45 seconds to do an acceptance speech, which is like not that much time?
“And then someone does a dumb comedy bit that goes on a bit too long?”
Kimmel replied: “You know I have heard of that happening in previous years.”
He then gave Brunson the stage to continue her speech.
During Monday (12 September) evening’s award show, actor Will Arnett had dragged the late-night talk show host onstage to present the Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
Kimmel pretended to have passed out after drinking too many margaritas upon losing in his own category.
