'Minion Ways To Die (2015)' is a series of skits depicting the minions from 'Despicable Me (2010)' dying in a variety of presumably painful ways. The piece speaks to the general disdain the internet seems to have for the admittedly annoying little guys, acting as a sort of tonic for their appearances in film and seemingly every motivational meme shared by middle-aged mothers. There isn't much to the piece, but it does exactly what you expect it to. It's also generally quite charming. There are a number of movie references sprinkled throughout, which do a good job of breaking up the monotony of the concept and are typically quite amusing. Overall, this is a decent throwaway short. 6.10.

A must-see for Minions haters Warning: Spoilers
If you hate the Minions from the Despicable Me films, then this micro-short is for you: I guess seeing these yellow things being killed in many different ways in less than a minute must be cathartic experience for those who are tired of seeing them everywhere. I, for one, I don't really hate them. I found the first two "Despicable Me" films to be unremarkable and completely forgettable, and the same goes for the "Minions" film from the year 2015.

Anyway, in this brief animation Lee Hardcastle once again subverts innocent characters with violence, gore and dark humor. Some of his animations (Like his morbid Simpsons couch gag) tend to be quite nasty, but this one feels quite lighthearted, and even cute from a certain perspective, mostly thanks to the playful, comical tone used for this. And also the cheerful background music helped too.

I guess I would be watching this again once another Despicable Me film after another "Despicable Me" film is released.
