Shocking for the sake of it

"Fuckkkyouuu" (lets see if IMDb asks me to censor the title) is an American black-and-white short film from 2015, so two years old now. It runs for 8.5 minutes and it's basically the work of two people. The first would be writer, director, producer and editor Eddie Alcazar. The second is artist Flying Lotus, who provides the music and sound. There is no dialogue in here, nobody speaks, so you won't need any subtitles regardless where you are from or what languages you are speak. But still, it's very difficult to understand, let alone appreciate, this work here. It all feels for the sake of it. Obviously Alcazar tried to shock us as much as he could in terms of violence, sexuality to a lesser extent, or just horror in general. There is no story that justifies any of the contents or actions depicted in here and I would say this is why eventually it is a case of style over substance and the artistic impact here is almost as non-existent as the memorability. Thumbs-down from me. Not recommended, unless you really love modern experimental movies that look a bit retro, and I personally am glad it was this short.
