Had Potential

The premise is good but the execution was bad. Predictable story line. Bad dialogue. At times subpar acting. Not funny jokes. Aimless at times. The scenery and production quality is good. Overall a waste of time.

Soccer or football madness
kosmasp10 July 2021
Depending on where you live and what you call it. Southern Americans of course will callit football ... actually I think only Americans call it soccer - and those who want to appease them (would I be considered being one of them then? Maybe I reckon).

This is just a silly little comedy about a road trip and three really strange/weird little characters and their story. Add to that some inside humor of sorts (like Argentinians and Brazilians not being on the same page - even when they don't play against each other) and you either have something you love ... or something that annoys you.

An insult
d-trumpler19 November 2020
This movie has one or two funny moments, but it was a waste of time. The acting was hit and miss, but overall acceptable. the scenary was beautiful and sadly a missed oportunity to shot more of the beauties of the countries. The music was annoying at times and out of place. The story very predictable.

But: there are 3 unforgivable things: 1 Argentineans speaking portuñol trying to pass as Brazilians was awful, just hire the real thing, they don't live too far away! Horrible accent of some of those actors insulting the Brazilian language. 2 Why would you drive through Peru or Amazonas to go to Rio? The scenery is beautiful but makes no sense. you would never encounter dry mountains while traveling from Buenos Aires to Rio. Get a Map! 3 This insults indigenous people in so many ways that I want to vomit.

Skip this one.

Warning: Spoilers
It's cool to hear the different accents, cultures and chemistry between the 3 actors. It pokes fun at soccer and how it's basically worshiped in South America. While on the way to a soccer game they get stranded on the road after a mishap which leads to one misadventure after another. From playing soccer with native americans for their life to escaping a boat full of brazilians. I can't say enough about this movie other than check it out for yourself.

Good, very good...

And it's not that the Argentinian was right about the Vikings, 500 years before Columbus they came from the North Atlantic, lovely mix Chile + Peru + Argentina + in Brazil with the indigenous Natives and population... Apparently the other South Americans too he has a quarrel with the Argentine hermanos (constantly doubting his nature)... I liked the theme, South American miscellaneous football, more than the movie itself, the jokes work, the rhetoric and references too, funny and charismatic protagonists save...
