Hope It Can Make It!
ShelbyTMItchell27 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Hope the show can make it. As Philip Winchester is one of two ex- Strike Back actors with a TV show both on NBC, along with Sullivan Stapleton who is on "The Blindspot."

As he is a former FBI agent and special forces man named Alex Kane. Who was enjoying a night with his ex-wife until she is killed. And as he is questioned and held in a hospital, he sneaks out.

Only to find Charity Wakefield as Cassandra the house "dealer" and her boss Mr Johnson played by Wesley Snipes the pit boss. Who may or may not be good or just evil using Winchester's abilities for their own gain. But for the time being, trying to prevent crimes from happening.

At first he is reluctant but feels he has to find the kidnapped daughter of the family he was protecting in the beginning. As he realizes that the job can help him make more of a difference.

He uses all kind of resources on his own without the police help. As it has a skeptical detective on his case who also happens to be a good friend.

While doing good as the Player, he also tries to find his ex-wife's killer or killers.

Hope the show can make it and be a comeback for Wesley Snipes. But we shall see.

Weak rip off
onlinesam25 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I have included a potential plot spoiler. However, odds are we are never going to know since this show is not going to last.

The ability to predict crime is a rip-off of Person of Interest. The idea that the super rich are gambling on this is a poor plot device.

Wesley Snipes---just could not buy it and then he made it worse with his phony accent (Foghorn Leghorn) when impersonating a FBI agent.

This organization or cabal is so powerful that they can pull back the cops after a high speed chase in a matter of seconds--come on. I can accept getting someone out of jail over time, but not this nonsense.

Alex Kane did nothing to make me want to pull for him. The female lead was a caricature of...I am not sure what she was a caricature of. She was terrible.

SPOILER I suspected that his ex was not dead.

The Player.

Warning: Spoilers
Fast-paced and flimsy, but alright. The premise seems flawed as the main character's always going to be in the center of the action and not going to die. Limited as well by its TV-rating.
