'Lawrence: After Arabia' is the final act in a T.E. Lawrence' trilogy of sorts. First was David Lean's immortal Lawrence of Arabia (1962), followed by A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia (1992) (Lawrence at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919-1920). 'Lawrence: After Arabia' is focused on his final years.
The bier carrying the coffin in the funeral scene is the same one used for Lawrence's funeral on 21st May 1935. It is owned and lent to to the film by the the Frampton Hobbs family and Moreton Tea Room where it is kept.
Michael Maloney who plays George Brough actually played Lawrence in a nineties TV documentary version of Lawrence's story.
