It appears Halle Berry is single once again.
After only a few months of dating, a source tells Et that the 51-year-old actress has called it quits with 35-year-old British music producer Alex Da Kid. "Alex has already moved on," the source adds. "It was nothing serious between him and Halle."
Not long after news broke of Berry's breakup, she posted a photo to her Instagram story of a rope in the shape of a heart. "Done with love," she captioned the image along with three emojis of a flexed arm.

Berry and Alex first sparked romance rumors in September when the two were spotted out together in Los Angeles.
A month later, the Oscar winner made the relationship Instagram official when she posted a pic of her cuddled up to Alex with the message: "My balance."

35 years after “Fitzcarraldo,” Werner Herzog is returning to the Amazon. He isn’t going alone: 48 filmmakers will follow the one-of-a-kind auteur into the jungle for “Filming in Peru with Werner Herzog,” a 10-day workshop put together by Black Factory Cinema. One hopes their ordeal isn’t as arduous as those faced both on and offscreen in “Fitzcarraldo” and “Aguirre, the Wrath of God.”
Read More:Werner Herzog’s Film School Advice: 6 Crucial Lessons From a Master to His Pupils
The workshop begins on May 1, 2018 and lasts until the 11th, with each participant developing a short film under Herzog’s tutelage; upon completion, Herzog will select the best work for potential inclusion at international festivals. He’s taught similar courses before, often under less conventional circumstances than most workshops, but never in the same location as his two masterworks from 1972 and 1982.
It isn’t for first-timers, however. The workshop’s...

Monday’s Brett Ratner investigation in the The Los Angeles Times, with testimonials from a half-dozen women accusing him of sexual harassment, continued what’s become a familiar pattern. First-hand accounts. Apologies and/or denials. And now, the career blowback begins.
Depending on who you ask, Warner Bros. cut ties with Ratner late this afternoon — or to hear Ratner tell it, he made the decision. Ratner said in a statement, “In light of the allegations being made, I am choosing to personally step away from all Warner Bros.-related activities. I don’t want to have any possible negative impact to the studio until these personal issues are resolved.”
The news came after Ratner lost his biopic on former Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner. “We are putting all further development of our projects with RatPac Entertainment on hold until we are able to review the situation further,” a Playboy Enterprises spokesman told The Wrap today.

Kelly Clarkson is opening up about one of her darkest moments in the spotlight.
In a new interview with Attitude magazine's Awards Issue, the 35-year-old singer reflects on the time when she was "really skinny" -- and why it made her so unhappy.
Back in 2002, Clarkson rose to fame after winning the first season of American Idol. And although it seemed as if she had everything going for her, she felt pressured by Hollywood executives to look a certain way in order to continue her journey in the music industry.
"When I was really skinny, I wanted to kill myself," she admits. "I was miserable, like inside and out, for four years of my life. But no one cared, because aesthetically you make sense."

Consider awards season officially started. The Independent Filmmaker Project (Ifp), the nation’s premier member organization of independent storytellers, has announced the nominees for its 27th Annual Ifp Gotham Awards. For 2017, ten competitive awards will be presented to independent features and series.
This year’s nominees are lead by Jordan Peele’s “Get Out,” which pulled in four nominations (including Best Feature, Breakthrough Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Actor), but the breakout debut is trailed by four other hot contenders, each with three nominations to their name. Those include Greta Gerwig’s “Lady Bird,” Luca Guadagnino’s “Call Me by Your Name,” Kogonada’s “Columbus,” and Sean Baker’s “The Florida Project.”
The Gothams also heaped nomination glory on other films that are expected to contend this season, including Craig Gillespie’ “I, Tonya,” the Safdie brothers’ “Good Time,” and Dee Rees’ “Mudbound,” which will be receiving a special ensemble awards.

Alec Baldwin’s movie “Blind” has come under fire from a group that advocates for the disabled for casting the “30 Rock” alum in the role of a sightless person. In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Ruderman Family Foundation president Jay Ruderman accused the movie of “treating disability as a costume,” likening the casting to blackface. “Alec Baldwin in ‘Blind’ is just the latest example of treating disability as a costume,” Ruderman said. “We no longer find it acceptable for white actors to portray black characters. Disability as a costume needs to also become universally unacceptable.” Also Read: Alec Baldwin's Advice.

Our national nightmare is over: After more than a decade of dystopian futures, obtuse love triangles, and weak Charli Xcx singles, Hollywood’s flash-in-the-pan love affair with Ya film adaptations has finally run its course. You can feel it in the air, and you can see it in the dwindling box office returns. The climactic installments of “The Maze Runner” and “The Divergent Series” are still on the horizon, and an unusually promising adaptation of John Green’s “Looking for Alaska” continues to percolate in pre-production, but bodies tend to wriggle for a little while after they’re officially pronounced dead. The fact of the matter is that Voldemort has been vanquished, the people of District 12 have overthrown The Capitol, and Bella Swan has stopped pouting. There will always be movies made for the tween audience, but make no mistake: The Ya world as we know it has come to an end.
