SUKI was first pitched to Angelina Jolie. It began as a short 2D story in 2006. Under development, it has gone through 6 writers, 4 editors, close to 100 drafts. Both writers have been trained in Kabuki theatre in the past.
SUKI 3D co writer, Chris Hastings, has just won BAFTA for his Prison Architect. He also has one extra nomination for Best Game and his co production and direction project with SableFilms BAD TOWN script has also been short listed. 2016 has been very good year for him.
The original version of SUKI was work-shopped at Women in Directors' Chairs at Banff Centre in Calgary when Ada was chosen as one of the 8 directors from across Canada. Peter Woest of Stargate was the DP.
Co director/DP/stereographer Demetri Portelli has just completed another award contender from Ann Lee, BILLY-LYNN'S HALFTIME WALK after working with Jean-Pierre Jeunet THE YOUNG AND PRODIGIOUS T.S.SPIVET.
Congrats to co director/cinematographer/stereographer Demetri Portelli, for winning American Grindhouse Best cinematography award for SCRATCH! Well Done and many more.
