There is a poster seen in the Hell employment office, which reads "Today Is The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life." Having such a poster in Hell is a reference to the comic strip "The Far Side" by Gary Larson.
The demon employment agency in the film is named Contrapasso, a reference to the Dante Alighieri epic poem Divine Comedy. It refers to the punishment inflicted on souls.
The character of Thomas, the self-proclaimed Satanist who wants to rule Hell, is inspired by an old friend that director Mike J. McAllister and star Aaron Norcom (long time best friends) used to hang out with in junior high school.
Part of the inspiration for the film came from director Mike J. McAllister's own experiences with temporary employment agencies when he lived in Ohio and when he later first moved to Texas.
Was largely paid for using IndieGogo. The funds raised covered the audio and lighting equipment, as well as some of the props. Director Mike J. McAllister paid for craft services and a camera dolly out of pocket. Luckily, much of the costumes came from the actors own personal wardrobe. The camera the film was shot on was paid for by combining three gift cards McAllister received for Christmas.
