Dante Vescio and Rodrigo Gasparini, the directing duo behind Brazilian horror flick O Diabo Mora Aqui and other short films, took a time out from horror to direct a short science fiction film and enter it into Nasa's CineSpace short film competition. Together with their regular writer Rafael Baliú they made Children of the Cosmos. The short reflects on the wonders of the Universe and the cosmos, with a surprise ending. Brazilian directors Rodrigo Gasparini and Dante Vescio first came to our attention with their ABCs of Death 2 contest entry M Is For Mailbox (embedded below). The duo recently wrapped up their debut feature length horror film titled The Fostering (O Diabo Mora Aqui), which will have its world premiere in October at the Sitges Film Festival. While we still have yet to see a trailer, a brief synopsis, and a stunning poster (seen above) has been revealed which you can find below. Twitch describes the film as the first volley in a much larger project titled Urbania from producer / creator M.M. Izidoro, a project which will dive deep into Brazil’s urban legends in a format that will span both film and television.

Directed by Dante Vescio and Rodrigo Gasparini (the duo behind the short M Is For Mailbox), the movie tells the story of four teenagers caught up in the midst of a war between ancient forces in a country house in the middle of nowhere.
