Powerful and Important
VG-GVince1 August 2016
I've seen a lot of documentaries, and this is among the best, the most powerful I've ever seen. It chronicles a series of trials, the civil unrest and the collaborative agreement reached to address police violence, after fifteen Black men were killed by Cincinnati, Ohio police in the six-year period between 1995 and 2001. We see an anatomy of civil unrest, and foreshadowing of what would come in the years following Ferguson. The film suggests that some things have changed, while others have not. Through interviews with many of the players, and use of archival TV news video, the film illustrates what's happening all over the United States. A film that needs to be widely seen, and periodically updated ala Michael Apted's Up series.
