This short film is about a writer who wants to get a story published about an Indian army officer who was killed in the India-Pakistan Kargil war. After the soldier's martyrdom his family receives a gallantry medal, which gets stolen. The officer's father goes to the police station to lodge a complaint, but the police officer harasses the father by not lodging a complaint even after taking a bribe. The writer takes this story to the editor of a newspaper who does not publish it, feels its too long, asks him to shorten it. Further comes the internal struggle of the writer - For every word he removes from the story, he removes a substantial part of the struggle of the soldier's family !
