A beautiful, slow-burning, tense, metaphysical art-house thriller
bistrikseven14 November 2017
This original and intriguing film asks some interesting questions and gives you room to think and imagine among the layers of meaning and symbolism. I'd call it an art-house metaphysical thriller, with absolutely stunning imagery and beautiful sound design and music. The writer/director was a student of Bela Tarr at his film factory in Sarajevo when she shot this film, and given the attention to detail and atmosphere, combined with the slow-burning tension, I'd say she was taught well by her cinematic mentor.
