Produced as a gift for the Florida Highway Patrol on its 75th Anniversary. It is dedicated to the men and women of the Florida Highway Patrol, past present future; and to the families, whose love and support ever strengthen their resolve.
Due to the short deadline to premier, alternates were cast in some roles. Matt Grabetta was an alternate for the role of "David". Kaleb Knight was an alternate for the role of "Young Mr. Evans".
It is only by coincidence that the two lead characters were cast with actors who had the same first names. Out of all the talented actors who auditioned, Jeff Evans was cast as "Mr. Evans" and David Van den Berg was cast as "David".
Except for the two law enforcement characters, all the troopers in the film were real Florida State troopers who worked in FHP Troop A (headquarters in Panama City) at the time of the production.
No actors carried or handled any real firearms or ammunition. "The Trooper" carried a solid metal revolver replica and the "FHP Commander" carried a plastic replica of a modern semi-auto pistol.
