Some other ecological shows are a bit of a yawn and full of contrived scenes but we know Pete Bethune is the real deal with his astounding work to get on a Japanese Whaling ship. He and his team don't disappoint in this and I can't wait to see more of them.

Using elite soldiers is a novel twist and I hope these guys get to utilize their full potential in future campaigns. Can we call them elite ecological warriors?

Good on Pivot for airing it, ecological matters are of paramount interest to the survival of humanity. I only worry that Pete and his team are scratching the surface, they need more support.

Putting the reality in reality TV, The Operatives is terrific! Their goal "to capture and prosecute poachers and environmental criminals and expose their atrocities to the world" is ambitious and dangerous. It's good to know that people like Pete Bethune and his crew are around to take action on behalf of the ocean's wildlife. Airing on PIVOT TV is tough as not everyone gets that, but I found it online and am anxiously awaiting new episodes. I hope this gets shown on a mainstream network because it is important for people to have a broader understanding of what is happening in different parts of the world, and to know there are brave people fighting for what is right.

Epic final episode of The Operatives!! Sure hope Pivot, or anyone else for that matter, brings future series of The Operatives back!! These are challenging times for our oceans and we need more Operatives out there standing up for our oceans and what is right!! My thanks to Pete Bethune and all his Operatives for having the courage to fight the good fight. They rock!! I look forward to seeing more of their work in Costa Rica and other areas of our oceans. It is high time we cleaned up our act!! Humans are a plague on this earth and we are spoiling our world/oceans. We must all think about the legacy that we are leaving to our children and their children. The time to act is now, before it is too late!!

it's so educative, and entertainment, I learned so much about conservation and treatment.

I think he is showing us the things that is not easy to see by first hand, he's job is amazing and nobody would do the same, putting he's life in risk only to prevent and film WHAT REALLY is going on in our world.

As a Biologist I know is not easy film and document what is going on out there, and This show showed me things that No other TV show, showed before, with his experience and passion I find "The Operatives" as my favorite, number ONE TV show.

The operatives deals with the big issue of maintaining the environment where most of us ignore or are just unaware of these very real issues. This show is not only educational but a real entertaining watch. Pete and his team are true Eco warriors. Brilliantly put together and gripping from start to finish. The madness of the crew and cast to do some of the thing they do is both moving and motivating. Watching it challenges us to try and do something to make a change to our world which needs our help.

As far as good TV goes you can't bet the mix of entertaining characters and situations which constantly keep you on your toes waiting to see where your taken next on this great eco adventure! - A gripping show worth the watch!!

This series is dreadful. I watched because I love Capt Bethune on Whale Wars-but this series is the worst! It feels thrown together and very fake. There was one about seals in Namibia which was good/sad but the others are really dumb and boring. The story lines don't make any sense. The military guys aren't very interesting. I don't like them and they just seem like dumb Americans who are trying to help out the poor Latinos. They don't seem to do very much except run and jump around and look tough. They run a lot. The show tries to be 'eco' but it just seems like assholes who want to be on TV so they stand next to local police who do all the work and then the 'operatives' take the credit.(Of course the white man has to help the brown people save the environment.....even tho the white people are the biggest polluters)

But I really like shows that help save the earth. And Pivot is a cool channel. Very real and original--except this one is a stinker. At least on Whale Wars, even though the Sea Shepherds are clowns and make lots of mistakes, the show is fun to watch. On this show, the guys are just boring clowns. And kinda assholes. And on Whale Wars, Bethune was such a hero and so brave- -here he just seem boring and looks small and wrinkly. Also I can't understand him.

This show had me from the first time I watched the trailer for it! I have to say that unlike most trailers that tease you into a series this one kept its worth from episode to episode, keeping me glued to the screen. Not only is it an entertaining watch but it touches a very important issue that we have become almost immune to after being fed it every day on the news. The Operatives presents it in a way most 'action film' lovers like myself can appreciate and even gives these issues the importance that they should be getting so that we have some hope of maintaining the world livable for our next generations. Highly recommend it to anyone and looking forward to more episode coming out!!

This show is exactly what the world needs to see. Many of us have no idea that these sorts of things happen, and very little is done about it. It is great that there is a group of people who are willing to put themselves out there to make a difference, and to stand up for the planet. Its honorable for these former military guys to use their skills to go out and get the job done. The awareness of these issues should be shared on more networks and other media resources. The action is real, the danger is real, and the "kit" these guys are using is something from a James Bond movie. Truly BADASS! I hope to see this show grow into an ongoing series, with a bigger and better budget in the future.

I really enjoyed the first episode and can't wait to see the next in the series. What is refreshing in this new show is the perspective it assumes in exploring these pressing issues. Not enough mainstream attention is given to protecting our environment, so anything that can bring this to the forefront of peoples minds is a great thing for the sustainability of us on this planet. The characters were very entertaining to watch, and the production was good given what would have been challenging circumstances for a start up. One other thing to mention is the tech gear, this needs to keep on stepping it up in this series as it's a really cool addition. I love gadgets and vote for a hang glider or wing suit to be involved. Perhaps the Arctic could be a good next setting given all of the controversy happening up there at the moment. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this new show, and look forward to more work from the developer.

Pete and his team of Operatives are doing what others don't, won't or can't.

Much respect for their efforts and taking direct action against issues and people that are critical for our world to understand. The madness must stop and the approach of this show is both moving and motivating.... Watching it makes me want to do more and effect change in our world. A world that greatly needs help and more people to step up to the plate.

I commend them for their efforts and production of a solid show that not only entertains but educates as well. A tough combination ... but clearly they have gotten it right.

I applaud Pivot for running the show and look forward to many more seasons with more missions to save our planet from further damage and destruction at the hands of man.

Quite possibly the best reality show ever, one episode and you will be hooked. Pete Bethune and his team of conservationists bring to light the reality of the devastation that is happening in our world. The Operatives expose the criminals that are attributing to this by setting out on missions to target and stop those that harm wildlife and destroy mother Earth's natural resources - a cause to totally admire and support. This is a team of amazing people that are doing great things; daring to risk their own lives to save the world. There needs to be more awareness and reality shows, such as The Operatives, to highlight the actual 'realities' and more important issues that are wrecking havoc in the world around us.
