Things are getting exciting. This has perhaps the most advancement of the plot yet.
We get insight into: Khalid is - seemingly - holding our some evidence from the night of Olivers kidnapping; The final disintegration of the Hughes marriage and the beginning of Emily and Detective Mark's romance; Confirmation that the reason for Julian Baptiste's limp was the car-slamming (1 or 2 episodes previously), and; Baptiste had threatened the mayor with exposing his link to Garrett if the mayor tried to shut the new inquiry down.
Malik - the SOB (IMHO) reporter says he has proof that Mr Hughes killed Ian Garrett. Malik gives the item he's been holding from Khalid to Detective Mark, and t appears to identify the killer, but we have to wait for the next (also the last) episode to find out what.
