Pink says she has nothing but love for Christina Aguilera‘s Whitney Houston tribute.
After a clip of Pink watching Aguilera’s performance at the 2017 American Music Awards circulated online, many commented that, with a deeply furrowed brow, Pink didn’t look very impressed.
But always one to set the record straight, Pink took to Twitter to slam those who are creating drama where there is none and reveal it was a look of amazement rather than disdain.

Paris looks good on Princess Kate!
After meeting with French President Francois Hollande at Elysee Palace alongside Prince William on Friday, Kate changed into a stunning sleeveless black dress by Alexander McQueen to attend a glamorous dinner at the official residence of the British Ambassador, Edward Llewellyn – Lord Llewellyn of Steep.
Kate started the day in London to ring in St. Patrick’s Day with the Irish Guards. She wore the same green Catherine Walker coat she had on for the parade as she traveled with William to Paris to meet with President Hollande. But she let her hair down (thanks to her personal hairdresser,...

Well, how about that? Here’s another follow-up to a surprise 2014 smash. But this flick is so different from toy block caped crusaders. Still, it’s somewhat of an over-the-top crazy cartoon. Just one that’s not for the kiddies. The Matrix trilogy firmly established Keanu Reeves as an offbeat action star. Most of his flicks often had a science fiction/fantasy bent. Three years ago, he was part of a new action extravaganza that would be the ultimate gritty revenge story. That’s the original John Wick in a nutshell. A trying-to-quit ex-super assassin calls upon his old skills when his beloved companion is brutally murdered. Some thugs did in his puppy, so now they must pay. The score seemed to be settled then by the final fade-out. So what new mayhem will be revealed in John Wick: Chapter 2? Well, he sure hasn’t mellowed in those three years.

Cliff Martinez is one of the most exciting composers in Hollywood today. Most recently, his scores in The Neon Demon and Steven Soderbergh’s Cinemax series The Knick are among the richest, most expressive music compositions of the past few years. As such, we were excited to hear what he would do with Logan, but alas, we’ll never know. For reasons unknown, Martinez has been replaced by Marco Beltrami, director James Mangold’s regular composer, who also worked on 2013’s The Wolverine.
The news came from Mangold’s own Twitter account (via Film Music Reporter). When pressed by a diehard Beltrami fan as to why the composer wouldn’t return, the filmmaker corrected him.
@marco_beltrami Sure! But always wise to start softer and hear from other side before making accusations. Relax. Marco is scoring the film.

There’s no explanation as to why Martinez stepped aside for Beltrami.

It began as one of Lori McKenna‘s “spaghetti days” — the kind of day when the mom of five drops her kids off at school, picks up one of the guitars in her Stoughton, Massachusetts, house, sits at her dining table with a cup of coffee and begins to write a tune. “If I start writing, I don’t get anything else done, ” McKenna explains. “And I can cook spaghetti in like 10 minutes!”
On this spaghetti day, McKenna was thinking about her kids, aged 12 to 27, and all the little things she hoped they’d learn in life. “Sometimes we get so busy,...

Sometimes the family seems almost normal, particularly when the Kardashian and Jenner sisters are razzing each other like, well, sisters, or when the girls give momager Kris Jenner the full-on eye-roll treatment. But always, at the same time, they're operating on a level of extraordinary opulence. While the money and the travel, the concerts and the clothes, the swag and the jets tend to...

Israel Butt says "divine intervention" is the only plausible explanation for his 4-year-old daughter's survival after a mountain lion attacked her and dragged her body through an Idaho field on Friday. Kelsi Butt was walking with her 10-year-old cousin and her 2-year-old cousin at a family reunion near Green Canyon Hot Springs when out of nowhere a 93-pound male mountain lion crept out of some weeds and grabbed the girl with its teeth. "He had my daughter in his mouth and he couldn't pick her up so he dragged her to get a better bite," Israel tells People of the incident.

Ever since it wowed opening-night crowds at Sundance 2016, documentary biopic “Norman Lear: Just Another Version of You” has met a range of reactions. That’s because it’s more than a straightforward cradle-to-grave chronicle of Lear’s remarkable decades of television creativity. (Music Box opened the film in New York July 8, Los Angeles hits July 15, PBS’s American Masters airs in October, followed in November by Netflix.)
Documentarians Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady (Oscar-nominated “Jesus Camp,” shortlisted “Detropia”) recognized that, at 93, their subject is still vital and engaging—years after creating groundbreaking ’70s shows “All in the Family,” “The Jeffersons,” “Maude,” and “Sanford and Sons,” among others, not to mention founding liberal action group People for the American Way.
And so they gave Lear leeway to fashion his on-screen persona, and brought in plenty of friendly talking heads, including, most controversially, George Clooney. In turn, Lear let them dig and...

When actors inhabit a role for some time, the characters they play are bound to rub off on them, which is exactly what's happened for Tituss Burgess and Ellie Kemper with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. With two seasons under their belt—season two is out on Friday, April 15—and a third already announced, Burgess and Kemper both said their outlooks on life have changed from playing Titus Andromedon and Kimmy Schmidt. "Well, I'm always drunk," Burgess joked about the changes to his life. "But always elegantly so," Kemper added. "You never cross the line." Burgess is of course referring to fans sending him pinot noir—his breakout moment from season one was a song...

Following up Adele’s Skyfall ballad, Sam Smith and Disclosure re-teamed for the latest James Bond film, Spectre. While the film won’t be released for over a month, the theme song has now been released, titled “Writing’s on the Wall” and it’s a little more subdued than one might expect, but we’re looking forward to seeing how it fits during the opening credits.
“I tried to put myself in the shoes of Bond,” Smithtells NPR. “My music is a diary and it’s a recap of my life, and I wanted to bring that kind of honesty. In the lyrics — “How do I live, how do I breathe? / When you’re not here I’m suffocating” — I wanted a touch of vulnerability from Bond, where you see into his heart a little bit.”

When a film buff thinks of Saul Bass, what does he or she think of? Janet Leigh’s fatal shower? The spiro-graphic opening of Vertigo? While often tasked with the former—designing key sequences—he is probably best remembered for the latter: creating such iconic title sequences as Anatomy of a Murder and North by Northwest; atmospheric openers building the mood and even propelling the plot in a dramatic manner far beyond the scope of what was considered the “traditional” credit sequence.Which is interesting: his only feature directorial credit, 1974’s Phase IV, does not contain a title sequence. This is perhaps intentional: the man who pioneered the title sequence as Art eschewing it entirely in his move to director. And this would certainly not be the only polarizing aspect of a widely neglected film that is equal measures thoughtful and mainstream-matinee-silly.Phase IV opens with a cosmic event—the...

This week, the Chinese drama But Always (aka. Yi Sheng Yi Shi) premieres in several countries worldwide, including the USA. A lengthy description of a doomed romance, it stars Gao Yuanyuan and Nicholas Tse as the star-crossed lovers. James reviewed it earlier this week. While Nicholas Tse is an undisputed superstar in China, he has yet to make an impression as "just" a romantic lead. But he sure has earned his stripes as a believable tough guy, showing impressive martial art skills, a menacing charisma as a villain, and when called for, he is even capable of good comedic timing when necessary. Therefore, once again I'm going to use a gallery of thirteen close-ups to make a quiz, so click through the images and guess...
