An interesting dark fantasy
In a similar way to "Mongrel & The Wrath of the Ape King" (A short not registered on IMDb), "Exordium" is a modern tribute to traditional rotoscoping films (Fire & Ice, in particular)

Exordium does a good use of rotoscoping for its dark fantasy plot, I hope to see more stuff from Morgan Galen King in the future.

Great watch

Warning: Spoilers
Solid fantasy rotoscope animation that I think more people should see. While I personally strictly oppose the conclusion it comes to, its story is a great exploration of the comparison between the needs one has for power, and what need one has when one has power. Voicework can be a little quiet at times, but honestly if this was a subtitle-only film that'd be fine, as the music is fantastic and fits well with the visual aesthetic. My understanding is the same team who made this is in the process of making a feature film in the same setting after these events, and I am pretty excited to see where they go with it.

Powerful short

In a few short minutes, and with barely a word spoken, Exordium asks hard questions. The fantastical setting is the perfect fit for the timelessness of the story told. Unconventional? For sure. Memorable? Absolutely. This is simply one of my favorite films.
