Queensrÿche have announced a Spring 2024 North American tour with support from Armored Saint.
Dubbed “The Origins Tour,” the trek will see Queensrÿche revisit their early years, performing their 1983 self-titled EP and their 1984 debut full-length album The Warning in their entirety — a career first for the US prog-metal vets.
The trek kicks off March 22nd in Houston at the Hell’s Heroes Festival and runs through May 12th in Fort Meyers, Florida.
A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Wednesday (November 8th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code Backstage, while General ticket sales start Friday (November 10th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

MTV has announced the first round of presenters who will take the stage at the 2023 Video Music Awards, taking place on Tuesday, September 12. Pop star Bebe Rexha; social media figures Charli D’Amelio and Dixie D’Amelio; R&b singer Coco Jones; model and actress Emily Ratajkowski; rappers French Montana, GloRilla and Ice Spice; Oscar-winning actor and musician Jared Leto; actress Madelyn Cline; British singer Rita Ora; and singer-actress Sabrina Carpenter will be present at the 40th annual event.
In addition, the network announced a few more performers who will appear at the VMAs: Kaliii, Renee Rapp and The Warning will perform on the Extended Play Stage. Guns N’ Roses kicked off their 2023 world tour in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday (June 1st), performing a few songs for the first time in 30 or more years.
Among the rarities in the 32-song set were the Use Your Illusion I track “Bad Obsessions” (first time since 1993), the Use Your Illusion II cut “Pretty Tied Up” (first time since 1992), and the Appetite for Destruction song “Anything Goes” (first time since 1988). The show also marked the live debut of a cover of The Stooges’ “T.V. Eye,” sung by bassist Duff McKagan.
All told, the band played nine songs from Appetite for Destruction, including classics like “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Paradise City” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

On the new single & music video The Warning said: “We feel ‘More’ is a natural transition to our musical evolution where we get to express our taste in music in a fresher cooler sound maintaining The Warning’s core rock sound. ‘More’ is a song about relationships push and pulls and wanting ‘More’ out of life ;)”
“More” was co-written by the band with Anton Delost (who also produced the track) & Niko Rubio and the official music video was directed by Ivan Chavez.

Miami Dade College’s (Mdc) Miami Film Festival (Mff) is importing film artists Jean-Marc Barr and Mateo Gil to accompany two Marquee events at the international festival’s upcoming 35th anniversary edition (March 9 – 18). The Miami Film Festival, under director Jaie Laplante, showcases Ibero-American cinema — and rising talent –and provides a North American launch pad for new international and documentary films.
In the last five years, the Festival has screened films from more than 60 countries, including 300 World, International, North American, U.S. and East Coast Premieres, and attracted more than 60,000 attendees, including 400 filmmakers and industry professionals.
