This little short film was made in a very short period in combination with a couple of others using the same cast members. This one is a simple joke which works well enough for the 30 second runtime. A woman sits on a small jetty by a lake, awaiting her love who arrives (with soft sepia film and music) to present her with flowers and expression of love; this crashes into reality as her daydream is broken with a slightly less romantic reality. The "reality" should be fairly obvious to the viewer but it is a nice skip because the look and feel of the film changes in all ways – content, look, music etc.
Some of the shot framing bugged me a little; not sure why but I felt like things left the frame and then the cut occurred whereas it felt like it should have occurred just before or as they leave, but it really doesn't matter. The performances of the two actors work well to be part of the clash between the first half and the second. Very simple and very short little scene which amused me for what it was.
