John Taylor : Your mom and I believe you have to honor that code of conduct. We all signed it. You have to turn yourself in.
Beau Taylor : Wh-why? I mean, everybody drinks all the time?
John Taylor : I know. That's why we've been struggling with this. Look, if you believe in God, then you have to tell the truth.
Beau Taylor : Oh, we've never done that before.
Alexa Taylor : We do now.
Beau Taylor : This is stupid.
[Beau tries to walk off but John blocks him]
Beau Taylor : What?
John Taylor : Do you know what integrity is?
Beau Taylor : Yes. It's doing the right thing.
John Taylor : It's not just that. It's doing the right thing when nobody's watching you.
Grandma Loretta : God's always watching.
John Taylor : I want our family to have integrity where our words and our actions match up.
Beau Taylor : You serious?
-
Grandma Loretta : [about the nicc-nac stature] Give it to me, give it to me. Guys, give it to me, give it to me! Beau, do something!
Beau Taylor : [under a pile of teammates in the living room] Oh, c'mon, Grandma. We're football players, we gotta practice sometime.
-
Grandma Loretta : Alexa, if you would have parented them like I told you when they were three years old, you wouldn't be experiencing these behavioral problems at seventeen.

Peter Adams : He can get open but he can't catch.
Jezi Adams : I know, this is so unfair. He really shouldn't even be playing. I mean, my son got us here and he shouldn't have to share the field with Beau.
Alexa Taylor : Jezi... you're right. You're so right, he did get us here.
Jezi Adams : You think that you are so high and mighty, don't you Alexa? Well, you know what? I can tell the truth too. Honestly, I thought it was horrible, the day that you told me that you returned John's necklace for something better.
John Taylor : What about the necklace?
Jezi Adams : Oh, wait, you didn't tell him? You know what that makes you? It makes you a hypocrite.
John Taylor : What's she talking about?
Jezi Adams : She exchanged your necklace for something better.
John Taylor : Jezi, no she didn't okay? It 's right here.
[John pulls the top of Alexa's shirt down to reveal that Alexa did in fact exchange it and she was wearing a bigger necklace]
Alexa Taylor : I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you, I was embarrassed.
John Taylor : You've been hiding this the whole time?
Jezi Adams : See, she's a hypocrite.
Grandma Loretta : Jezi, hush up. Everyone can see your roots. They're brittle and frosty and falling out.
Alexa Taylor : [to John] I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. There was just never the right time.
John Taylor : Nothing's good enough for you.
Alexa Taylor : I don't wanna to be that way anymore. I don't. I'm sorry.

Jezi Adams : [Alexa opens the door to find her neighbor, Jezi standing there, who is a huge smile on her face] Hi, honey!
Alexa Taylor : Hi.
Jezi Adams : I made you a casserole. I just know how hard it can be in times like these. So, I made you my favorite; cheese and broccoli.
[Alexa has a overly big smile on her face; annoyed by her, they hear crashing sounds]
Jezi Adams : How's it going in there? Oh, I'm sure it's just a crazy time. It sounds like a lot of commotion. Are you reorganizing?
[Alexa laughs nervously]
Jezi Adams : Really, how are you?
Grandma Loretta : [opens the door] Hi, Jezi, come in and see our new arrangement.
Jezi Adams : I'd love too!
Alexa Taylor : Oh, we're not done, so, maybe later.
Grandma Loretta : Oh, I want her opinion.
Alexa Taylor : Uh, thank you for the casserole, Jazi.
Grandma Loretta : Nice chat!
Jezi Adams : Oh, uh, I'll come back later!
Alexa Taylor : No, need!
