It's bleak.
Sleepin_Dragon11 December 2019
There was a total absence of any humour, zero light moments, the crimes were bleak, as was Sam's love life. I'm all for good, gritty drama, which this certainly is, but come on, it felt like every single character here lost, it was so bleak it was almost indulgent. The final scenes sum it up well, bleak.

I'll applaud it for delivering a shock, a real twist that didn't seem even a remote possibility. Well acted, once again I thought Lesley Manville stood head and shoulders.

It's one of describe as heavy, but it's well made. 7/10

How Dysfunctional Can You Get
Hitchcoc11 February 2019
Two young women are living in a horrible. One of them becomes a victim of what looks like murder. Her younger sister is aware of some really bad goings on concerning her stepfather. There is also the boyfriend, who impregnated the first girl when she was thirteen (he was a teenager himself). His other looks after his little girl. The harsh thing is the ugliness of the stepfather and the cruelty of the mother, but there are circumstances that we find out as the story goes along that make it even more tragic.
