- Show is fairly violent, lots of blood. The violence tends to get overhyped due to the concept and setting, however in actuality it isn't that bad. Very intense, but never gory.

- Incredibly dark show, the whole center of the shows concept is death, and the themes surrounding it. Dark, gritty.
- Most of the shows content comes from the dark atmosphere, lots of incredibly bleak and sad themes to the show. Some of the least friendly anime out there, at least in terms of themes.
