- Quotes
Kate Beckett: [reading newspaper] Castle?
Richard Castle: Hmm.
Kate Beckett: [sighs] Should I be worried about your commitment to our engagement?
Richard Castle: [pause] No. why?
Kate Beckett: 'Cause it says right here that you're getting back together with your ex-wife.
Richard Castle: What?
Kate Beckett: [handing him the paper] Right here, page six.
Richard Castle: [reading] "Castle caught cuddling with ex-wife publisher". No, no. This was a *business* lunch. We were discussing Heat and Storm books.
Kate Beckett: Oh, so, um, you weren't...
[reading]
Kate Beckett: "gazing lovingly into her eyes"?
Richard Castle: She had spinach in her teeth! That's just... Okay. I don't... See, this wouldn't happen if you just let me announce our engagement.
Kate Beckett: We already talked about this. Everyone that's important to us already knows.
Richard Castle: Yes, and just because I'm a public figure doesn't mean you need to be one, too. I know.
Kate Beckett: Exactly.
Richard Castle: [handing the paper back] Well, so long as you don't mind this sort of thing happening.
Kate Beckett: I don't. 'Cause it's not true. And it only gives me more material to torture you with.
Richard Castle: Mmm, and the student becomes the master.
I have been in constant laughter over the reshaping of Castle's Season 6, as the New Year begins. The next three episodes will... I believe - will return fans back to a series that has rediscovered its rhythm and passion. I predict that the second half of the season we will see the rich contrast, textures, complexities, and great characters, and themes with that we all have come embraced over the 6 seasons, including the romance. Castle as TV Cinema host some of the most highly skilled and qualified actors in the industry today. Episode 6–11, and beyond will I think, allow us to see a Kate who may be ready to go public with her engagement to Castle, the birth of Ryan's baby, which I am sure will come with more than its share of drama, and the return of Castle's dad – James Brolin. Which I am sure will be an episode filled with nail biting difficulties, will daddy be good or bad, and I have a feeling that when Kate's really finds out about who Castle's dad is – she's not going to be very happy. Of course, Martha is once and again face to face with her lost love, and if you don't think – that their meeting won't create fireworks – then you haven't been watching Castle; besides we all love a great romance in between crime solving capers, and the human drama of the characters?
We all hope that the "People Choice Awards", will give Stana Katic, and the "Bromance" of the century its due, but if not - we will still love every moment to the last episode of this amazing series. Then turn sadly to our DVD players, DVR's, and other devices, to watch each episode, over and over again, after all this is the mark of great cinema, no matter its format. Until that day, I plan to tune into every episode, and like all of you - I look forward to the "Big" - "I Do's," between Castle and Kate – it is time! Now, I didn't say, the first marital attempt will take! There will be drama and you can almost bet money that something will foil the "I Do's" - at least the first time, so get ready. The drama will continue between Castle and his dad, Alexis, and Martha, and it will be fun watching Kate, fit into the circus that is the "Castle Household" All and all it should be a great deal of fun and funny, with tender moments for those of us who are romantics at heart. We will see Caskett take down 3XK and friends, along with Senator Bracken, and we will cheer, hold our breaths, and worry through the summer months over the next season's end cliffhanger. We will talk about all our favorite characters, watch their growth, achievements, and even celebrate our not so favorite villains' and smile, but until then See you all in Castleland 2014.
