I had the opportunity to see this sci-fi short film Helio a few years ago at a little genre film festival called FilmQuest. I was seriously blown away by the film and I've been wondering when it would finally be released online for the world to watch and enjoy. Well, it's finally here!
Helio was directed by a talented young director named Teddy Cecil. He put everything he had into creating this film and the end result is stunning. The story is set in a dystopian underground society and it centers on a miner who finds the key to freedom and attempts to escape before the hostile government kills him first.
