Informative documentary that starts strong and finishes weak

Warning: Spoilers
Bananaland has some very good information regarding the insidious history of the banana industry. On that point the movie was excellent. However, there is a heavy reliance on provoking emotion vs thought throughout the movie. And the last half the movie falls flat with correlation vs causation argument that uses intentionally inflammatory interviews, information, and an unrelated case study for nearly an hour only to finish with: Everything we just presented is all speculative and more investigation needs to be done. This last bit takes it from a good documentary to the level of a smear campaign. If it's speculative - say that in the beginning, not after you manipulate your audience into a way of thinking. It's only saving grace is that there is a lot of real information about the fruit companies history, workers rights in south america, violence of paramilitary groups, and some real issues with birth defects in a town in Ecuador. But the lines drawn between these events and the fruit companies are sometimes weak.
