Beautiful short documentary
opacitas22 August 2022
This news-reel-like documentary short shows Stan Laurel's and Oliver Hardy's visit to the village of Tynemouth in Laurel's native country Northern England. They are welcomed by thousands of people. It is very nice to see how close these two comedy icons were to their fans. They give autographs, hand over presents to children in need. Always smiling, always in the middle of a big crowd and even playing their roles while doing all this. We also get a glimpse of what I think were Stan Laurel's parents. A very heart-warming contemporary document.
