When the doctor prescribes a sleeping aide for the kid he tells the mother he's prescribing Zolpidem and tells her "it's a pediatric Ambien". That't not correct. Zolpidem is simply the generic version of Ambien and is prescribed to adults all the time, it is in no way for children.
The doctor in the hospital prescribes Zolpidem for insomnia for a child he hasn't seen and also to a person under 18 yrs of age.
When the mom goes to the orphanage to try and rescue Cody she walks in an unlocked front door and no other doors show any type of lock except the TV room.
This would never happen in a institution like that, especially for the fact so many orphans/children in care try and abscond.
In the children's home the staff administer Cody a sedative via a syringe. The amount in the syringe (as in volume) is too high, the location of the injection close to the elbow in the upper arm is unusual, but foremost the injection doesn't leave a mark in his arm whatsoever.
When Cody is asked to set the table, there are four plates stacked on the counter with flatware on top. There are only three people in the house to eat dinner.
