I am so touched!!
ayu_s14 April 2015
I'm so touched with this movie - I even cried twice. It is so bad when history write wrongly about us that lead to misunderstanding and misbehaviour towards us. It would be much worse when we do not know how or might not get the chance to explain. As people always refer to the past - this movie shows what written in the past is not always right. We need to open our heart and mind to accept what happen now.

This is my first time watching this sequel of Tinkerbell. I accidentally found the trailer of this movie on Youtube.com that lead me watching the whole story. I love this movie so much. Plus, the movie is not overrated (like any other movies), which is good. Now, I am digging the previous sequels of Tinkerbell and would like to see what the other movies will provide me.

By the way, I was thinking, why not the title be written as 'Fawn and the Never Beast' instead of 'Tinkerbell ...' as I guessed, the main actor for this movie is Fawn, not Tinker? I think I would find the answer if I watch the other Tinkerbell's movies.

Thank you for your time.

The latest Tinkerbell film is the best to date
TheLittleSongbird14 August 2015
And this is coming from somebody who enjoyed all the Tinkerbell films, and thought that the series got better and better with each film. Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast has everything that makes the previous Tinkerbell films as winning as they are, and delivers even more.

The animation was something was got better with each film, and Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast for me was the best-looking Tinkerbell film along with Secret of the Wings. The animation contains some truly gorgeous colours, vibrant and stylish backgrounds, a lot of imaginative detail and all the characters are well-modelled with all their movements convincing and with little signs of stiffness. It looks and sounds great on the DVD, the clarity of the picture quality helps make the animation so striking, and makes it more vivid. While the sound soars just as well, the sound effects are authentic and those of the darker moments have a suitably booming intensity.

Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast's music score is whimsical, energetic and beautifully done too, and while the songs are not many they are sweet and catchy (the opening song being the most memorable). The story is a little predictable but well-paced and full of charm, it also contains a lot more emotion than the previous Tinkerbell films and is the darkest of the lot without being too scary or misplaced. The final act is thrilling and remarkably poignant, and the 'don't judge a book by its cover' message is conveyed very appropriately and never heavy-handedly. The characters are very likable and engaging, and their chemistry still charms. Fawn and Gruff are particularly well-written, and it was easy to be moved by their relationship, and the conflict with Nyx is done believably without being too intense. The voice work is terrific, with Ginnifer Goodwin's lively turn being truly infectious and Mae Whitman, Rosario Dawson and Anjelica Huston are also strong.

My only real complaint with a film that has very little wrong with it is some of the dialogue. A good deal of parts are warm and witty, but others are a bit ropey and while it didn't hurt to keep the comedy scarce some of it is a touch too forced. In conclusion, a very enjoyable and well-executed film and the best Tinkerbell film to date. 8/10 Bethany Cox

The nicest fairy
rincondesalva24 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
To be a film released directly to video it is very good. 3D animation technically good (especially the forest and the monster). Lovely history and protagonists (this time the fairy Fawn and the Beast) with much "hook!" and nice for children. Mine have seen it dozens of times without getting tired (and that's what this film is made for). Pretty good soundtrack, sometimes reminded me even the Star Trek or Alien (if it seems exaggerated, it seems hahaha :)). The song that starts with end credits is truly beautiful. As a child movie 10 over 10. In short, it is a careful Disney movie well-made product, especially considering that does not seem to have had many claims beyond entertaining. Recommended to see with children. Not being a sequel to the movie Tinker Bell but simply a movie fairy movie and I think it would have been better valued. Nice ending and I would say even nostalgic for what Disney is: the fairy disappearing from the pupil of the monster as he closes his eyes to sleep for 1000 years it seems very poignant and has high artistic value.

Much better!!
paulclaassen18 September 2018
While I initially considered the Tinker Bell films to be for girls, it is interesting to note that the male directors do a better job with these films than the female directors. In this installment it is Fawn's turn to steal the show. For the first time since the first film, Clank Bobble, and Fairy Mary does not feature in this film.

The film is not so much about Tinker Bell anymore, as she (again) takes a back seat in this adventure. This is a truly great installment with action, adventure, and suspense. This is the darkest entry in the series yet, and refreshing, actually, although it might give young kids nightmares. I also found this film's humor funny rather than silly, and none of the animation or events cartoonish. I also really enjoyed the new character, Nyx, who is probably the strongest character of any Tinker Bell movie yet.

The film was cute and sweet, as well, and has a beautiful ending. I loved it!

Amazing
jessicajeanfox20 February 2015
This movie was enough to bring me to tears, and I'm an adult.

Very wonderful movie. I'm very saddened that this will be the last movie they are making in the Tinker Bell franchise—I would really like to see how Tinker Bell comes to meet Peter Pan and how what Disney has done ties into J.M. Barrie's story. However, though that will likely not happen (though, with this movie and The Pirate Fairy they come pretty close to getting into that story, which made me hopeful it would be done after this movie), I say they went out with a bang on this one. This one could be my most favorite, though I love them all! Not only entertaining for children but people of all ages. I hope they reconsider more movies. I feel we need one or two more!

Major Character Disappointment
miked-523346 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I rate this film 6/10. It was a very good film with a good storyline, no doubt about it.

However I was disappointed in that Tinkerbell made very little appearance, after all it is a franchise to Tinkerbell's back-story and not Fawns.

Further in the movie Secret of the Wings, we get introduced to Periwinkle (Tinkerbell's twin sister) and that was absolutely amazing, for me it was an unexpected surprise yet pleasant, it really made the movie and the franchise a lot more intriguing but after the Secret of the Wings, she disappears (you see Periwinkle for a few seconds in The Pirate Fairy and she makes no appearance in The Legend of the Neverbeast). The same is for Bobblle and Clank.

Now I understand they are not major characters but still characters you have been following in the first 5 movies mean something to the audience i.e. the audience forms a relationship with the characters, it is fine to add new characters but not to remove familiar characters.

Periwinkle for example, here (in Secret of the Wings) we finally meet a new interesting character, the sister of the main protagonist and just as we start to learn about her, she disappears. There is so much potential for Periwinkle for example: the adventures of Periwinkle and Tinkerbell but she is disregarded after we meet her.

Another perfect gem added to what is an already flawless series
geoffgee15 December 2014
I have no reservations in describing Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast as "another perfect gem added to what is an already flawless series". In this, the sixth of the series so far (and hopefully not the last), Tinkerbell takes a back seat, while animal fairy Fawn finds herself thrust into the spotlight due to her double penchants of firstly following her heart rather than her head, and secondly of steadfastly believing that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Shifting the focus away from Tink is fine by me because Pixie Hollow is simply bristling with interesting characters who I feel I want to know more about. In this story Fawn proves herself to be a character with many endearing qualities - inquisitiveness, intrepidity, persistence in the face of obstacles, a sense of humour and ... lovely long hair. (I came out of the cinema feeling more than a little 'smitten' by Fawn in a similar way to how I'd been smitten by Tink a few years earlier. Just saying.) She also has awesome high-flying skills it seems. As with the other Tinkerbell films there are three or four better than average songs (also the incidental music throughout is worth noticing), sumptuous artwork, an absorbing story and the usual comical shenanigans amongst the fairies. Give the kid in yourself a treat and go see this (maybe even take the kids with you? Boys will probably like this as much as girls will.) I'm hoping to see Neverbeast at least once more before it finishes its run at the cinema - after which I'll be looking forward to buying the bu-ray as soon as it's released (probably early summer next year?). Has to be a 10/10. Love it.

One word to describe this movie and that's endearing
lisafordeay3 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Tinkerbell and the legend of the never-beast(or they might as well have called it Fawn and the legend of the never-beast),is the 6th and(I think) final Tinkerbell film from the series that started back in 2008. I own 4 Tinkerbell movies; The Great Fairy Rescue,Secret Of The Wings,The Pirate Fairy and of course this little gem.

Fawn(now voiced by Walk The Line's Ginnifer Goodwin)is an animal fairy that simply adores animals. She tries to smuggle an owl in to Pixie Hollow but gets caught and later she runs away into a nearby forest and comes across the never beast who has awoken from his slumber after all those years. By taking a chance Fawn takes a shine to him as she helps him take a thorn out of his paw and she slowly tries to make the never beast a tame monster. But of course legend says that if the beast makes four brick walls from Spring,Summer,Autumn and Winter he will turn back into the monster that he is and havoc will happen.

But will Fawn help tame the beast and prove to one of the fairies(voiced by Rosario Dawson from Rent and Zookeeper) that he isn't as bad as he is?

Bottom line I found this one very endearing and heartwarming. Not gonna lie but I cried at The Secret Of The Wings and I wept at this one too last night(if you watch the climax you know the scene as a certain fairy dies and comes back to life again thanks to the never beast).

I know I am not the target audience for Tinkerbell as they are geared towards 5 or 6 year olds but as a 23 soon to be 24 year old childish woman who loves animated movies since I was born,I had the honour to be a part of the Tinkerbell journey from 2008 to 2014. And own 4 Tinkerbell movies.

Check it out and see what you think.

Disney movie that captures the heart
tomlu116 March 2015
This movie was as expected and like with all other Disney movie, it contains morals and values for kids to learn from. As the synopsis briefly describes, you can never judge a book by it's cover or in this case, the fangs.

As an adult, you can see the message they are relaying to everyone of all ages. Children especially because they need to know this stuff to develop into their positive character trait.

I also did not expect to cry from this movie. It's very touching and hits you in the heart. Loved ones will want to watch this together. Especially if you have kids. I just couldn't help but shed a few tears, and I'm not the type to get teary-eyed either.

Overall, this movie is cute, funny, adorable, touching, and keeps you drawn to the plot. Excellent!

Very cute...
RosanaBotafogo17 March 2023
Fun and talented, Fawn (voiced by Angela Bartys) is one of the animal fairies who believes you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, or animals by their fangs. One day, she ends up befriending a huge and mysterious creature known as the Neverland Monster, and tries to convince Tinker Bell (Mae Whitman) and her friends that the beast is not what they think. Fairy Fawn always had a good heart and refused to see evil in people. Therefore, she becomes friends with a gigantic monster. Sininho and her friends fear that this relationship could be harmful to all the residents of the city, and they decide to fight the villain before it's too late.

Tinker Bell movies are always cute, each one with its quirky and clumsy characteristics, and they even created an even cuter monster, delicious to watch their adorable antics... that puppy from "The Neverending Story"...

Best of all the series
This is by far my favorite Tinkerbell movie. Like the other reviews have stated, Fawn is the main character, but this makes no difference. The storyline is strong, the characters are fun, and the movie all over heartwarming. Make sure you have a box of tissue, this is a tearjerker. Of course like all Disney movies, we have a happy ending, but I enjoyed this as a strong finish to a delightful series. As far as storyline strengths, I would compare this to the great fairy rescue. Both story lines have a strong appeal that can be entertaining for even adults. Although these are geared for children, anyone can enjoy them. If you are a Tinkerbell fan and love the series, this does not disappoint. I would love a neverbeast of my own. I actually liked the change that it wasn't completely focused on Tinkerbell. It's fun to see the dynamic of the other characters as well. Until now, we really have not had a strong idea of who Fawn was. Good job Disney!

Colorful and fun, but as a Fairies fan I was disappointed
jmorris-4432617 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Please note, I love the whole Disney Fairies series. I've grown rather fond of the characters and the universe, and as such I feel strongly enough about it to comment on how it's portrayed.

Liked: -Soaring soundtrack and opening sequence. -The visuals and animation look better than ever. -The story explores a fun, "new" character. (Pixie Hollow is a rich world, with lots of characters to dive into. I think it's awesome.) -Tender emotional moments

Disliked: -Heavy-handed slapstick humor throughout: the previous installments incorporated pratfalls and gags to some degree, but it was better executed. The fairies are charming because they're plausible as people; the over-the-top, cartoony antics and gags in this feature detracted from that plausibility, and portraying our (my) favorite fairies as buffoons seems mean-spirited on the writers' part and unflattering to the characters. -Unusually weak supporting characters: there's very little of the lively banter and interaction among the supporting characters that characterized the other installments. The normally warm and helpful circle of friends was wooden and felt like an afterthought, and was relegated to serve as cheap comic relief, which seems unfair and not in keeping with the strength of their personalities. -Some poorly-chosen lines of dialogue. Examples follow. "Hawks eat fairies!" (Duh. We've known that since movie one, but they didn't hit us over the head with it. Now I've got a mental image of a pretty little fairy being torn to bloody shreds.) "I love you, Gruff." (again, hits the viewer over the head, and ruins the effect of the scene doubling as a farewell to the audience.)

Don't misunderstand, this was still a fun movie, the soundtrack was amazing, Fawn was fun and lovable, the ending sequence wrapped things up well for the most part (and elicited tears) but in light of the other installments in the series and the fact that this may possibly be the last Fairies movie, it didn't hit the high note I would have hoped for. (One of the many reasons there should be more.)

Fawn's Sexy Makeover
amandadenning10 March 2015
This movie was fine, we enjoyed it.

But I'm disappointed over Fawn's makeover. She went from no-fuss hair, shorts, and plain skin - to a carefully coiffed hairdo, miniskirt, and red lipstick.

I can't think of a single reason why a sexy makeover would be necessary for this character or this story, and my 2 and 5 year old daughters are asking me why Fawn doesn't look the same.

Disney - the only thing that needs a makeover, is your attention to social responsibility.

Our daughters (and sons) need more "normal" female role models, yesterday. Thanks.

Well at least this movie was the last one of Disneytoon Studios since 2015 this movie had 47 movies come on Disney and Pixar could do better even though that company called Disneytoon Studios already shutted down since four years. All the Feels.
hmgaida21 February 2015
This movie follows Fawn, an animal faerie, as she encounters a beast unknown to those of Pixie Hollow - the Neverbeast... all while going head to head with Nyx (a scout faerie), one of the protectors of Pixie Hollow.

I found this movie to be very endearing. It contained a level of emotion and depth that isn't always present in the other Tinkerbell movies... but it still contained that spunky Tinkerbell Charm. After watching this, I have a newfound appreciation for Fawn and her compassion for animals of all shapes and sizes. I'm hoping this might be the first of many Disney Faeries movies to focus primarily on Tinkerbell's close friends and their varying talents... rather than on Tink herself.

For anyone who has watched the other Tinkerbell movies, the plot is fairly predictable from the beginning... which is true of most of the other Tinkerbell movies.

I highly recommend this movie, but definitely have tissues at the ready! Trust me, I was not prepared to cry!

A perfect finish to the story of Pixie Hollow
flblueeyedboy22 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
DisneyToon Studios has managed to dive in head-first into the world of Peter Pan's fairy friend TinkerBell, illuminating every aspect of her world, Pixie Hollow.

Starting with the very first movie, released back in 2007, Tink and her fairy friends have taken us on an eight-year ride, managing to describe every detail of fairy lore. First off, we have the four seasonal divisions of Pixie Hollow (one of which hid TinkerBell's twin sister for three movies), the origin of the blue dust, the Blue Harvest Moon, the relationship with a human girl named Lizzie and her scientist father on the Mainland, along with talent-switching dust, how Captain Hook became obsessed with fairies, Tink's origins with Wendy (well, mainly her music box) and now, the Legend of the NeverBeast: a terrifying cat-like creature who can control the weather.

I love the centric view of Fawn in this movie. She seemed to be the only one who hadn't had her time in the limelight, and in this movie, she is determined to prove that the NeverBeast isn't what everybody thinks, and boy, did she ever! Even though Gruff (NeverBeast) had to go back into hibernation for a thousand years, they played with the finale perfectly, with the pathway illuminated by flowers and lighted dandelions dancing through the night sky. The most touching part was the closing of Gruff's eye, with Fawn in his reflection, to metaphorically close the book on the story of TinkerBell and Pixie Hollow, leaving behind a saga of family-friendly animated films that will not soon be forgotten.

Excellent
theparanormal41127 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This is by far my favorite movie in this franchise! Fawn is awesome, don't care for the new look , liked her old look better but still nice! The ending was sad, knowing that Fawn and Gruff will never see each other again, also wasn't expecting Fawn to die (Temporally)the pure love Fawn has for animals of all shapes and sizes is heartwarming we could all learn a thing or to from her about respecting life of all kinds.

One complainant though, i thought the fairies lived forever in Neverland, if i remember right in the bake off episode the main baker has made 400 cakes now for the queen 1 per year meaning she is over 400 years old and that the only way they could die is if the person who's laugh they were born from stops believing in fairies.... if that's the case then Fawn and Gruff should be able to meet again in the future.

That being said i get why they ended it the way they did, Fawn and Gruff finally becoming friends only to have to say goodbye the ending was both heartwarming and very sad knowing that they well never see each other again. I hope this isn't the last movie but if it is i'm glad that Fawn had a staring role she is the best in my opinion ! Excellent movie would recommend it for the entire family to enjoy !

The Legend Continues
rannynm2 March 2015
Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast is an adventurous movie about Tinker Bell and her good friend Fawn, (Ginnifer Goodwin) an animal fairy with a big heart and an adventurous mind. As Fawn is flying through the forest, she notices a mysterious cave and hears a weird sound coming from inside. Fawn immediately flies inside the cave to see what is happening. Fawn discovers a mysterious creature that no one knows anything about. She begins to observe the creature and notices he does a lot of strange things. Fawn names him Gruff. Nyx and the other fairies try to capture the big green-eyed beast because they fear he will bring harm and danger to Pixie Hollow. Fawn tries her best to convince Tink, Nyx and their scout friends and fairies not to harm Gruff.

My favorite character is Nyx (Rosario Dawson). Nyx is apart of the Scout fairies. She protects the fairies in Pixie Hollow and tries to get rid of anything that would harm them. Nyx is very cool, confident and strong. She likes to get her job done.

My favorite scene is when Fawn tries to help Gruff hide from Nyx and the other fairies. As Fawn tries to hide Gruff in a secret place, he lets out a very loud and big sneeze and he sneezes on all the other fairies. It is really funny.

The message of this movie is not to judge people. Gruff is a creature that only wakes up every 1000 years for a special task. Everyone in Pixie Hallow thinks he is a bad beast. He is actually a nice creature.

The DVD/Blue-Ray combo has bonus features which include never before seen bonus extras, access to cool computer games, five ingredients to getting Gruff, The True Story of the Neverbeast and so much more!

Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast is a fabulous movie. It will be available on DVD/Blue-Ray/Digital on March 3, 2015. I recommend it for boys and girls ages 3 to 10. I give this move 5 out of 5 shinning stars.

mbiswajit43118 July 2015
The Tinker bell movie franchise of Disney is just amazing. It seems to indicate the happiness and positiveness of life. The visual effect of movie is very colorful. Very much excited for more tinker bell movies from Disney.it gives much more joy really.Though tinker bell has not quite great role in this movie but the character fawn gives much more as a good character for her friendly behavior with animals. Overall i enjoyed the movie very much. Actually all the tinker bell movies are astonishingly fantastic. Everyone could enjoy the movie. If there would be more movies from the franchise it will be very exciting. This movie in my opinion is best among other tinker bell movies. But i quite enjoyed all the movies.

This entire series is gold
bailey28199910 July 2019
Ever single film in this series is pure gold. It's heartfelt and warm with amazing storylines and animation. The cast is incredible and the entire series is underrated. Netflix is removing the films (probably to go on Disney+) and it is such a loss so far. They deserve everything and you ate missing something huge if you aren't watching.

Good movie.
Animany945 April 2020
Not much Tinkerbell, but a good movie overall taking some risks by being a little darker in tone and not afraid to be emotionally poignant.

The plot isn't very new, but the execution makes it fit well into the world of Pixie Hollow and expanding its lore with the Legend of the Neverbeast.

Fawn is the star of this movie along with the beast she names Gruff. Fawn is an animal fairy who often gets caught in taking a liking to rather problematic creatures and therefore ends up hiding the Neverbeast from the stern Scout Fairies.

But there's more to the beast and it ends up being quite the opposite of what it's said to be.

The animation reaches a new height here especially in the climax with a great use of effects backgrounds looking grand. The fur on the beast is also quite well textured and the facial expression makes him convey convincing emotions with no need for words.

One of the best Tinkerbell movies even if Tink takes the backseat.

Fantastic
AlienByChoice24 April 2016
OK, I'm an old cynic and I don't really like these long running franchise films. But I must admit that everything about NeverBeast exceeded expectations. Voice acting is excellent, the animation is superb, music is brilliant, and the story is top notch. My 6 year old daughter cried her eyes out, and for a Disney movie this kind of emotion was completely unexpected. It's a shame this turned out to be the last of the Tinker Bell films, because the franchise was definitely on the right track with this one.

And yes, I loved it much more than some of the recent mega productions like (ahem) Frozen.

Not for me
okainavar13 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Finishing my marathon even though I'm not the target audience for this film. Without a doubt, graphically, this is the most beautiful film in this saga and perhaps in the entire DisneyToon Studios. If in the fifth film they threatened to take away Tinker Bell's leading role, in this sixth film she completely lost her leading role. There were changes in the design of the fairies in my opinion and it took me a while to know if they were fairies from the previous films or if they were new fairies, the new protagonist for example I thought was the pirate fairy from the previous film. The biggest flaw for me was that I marathoned the release order, and except for the first film, which is good to contextualize the origin of Tinker Bell, the other films can be watched at any time. For me, the third film was the best. Film Watched on September 13, 2023.

Undiscovered Treasure
tindalllisa25 February 2020
I knew of the title. I remember seeing one scene on screen. My grandkids used to watch and watch and watch when it first came out but I didn't watch it. I dismissed it as a kids movie. I watched it this weekend as my latest grand discovered it. The two of us together went on a quietly magical journey that brought me to tears. Impressive vocal talent. Wonderfully presented. Beautiful.
