The film "American Mood" (1960) 8 mm starts from the top. You adjust and adjust the sound before realizing there is no sound. If you are into this type of film you do not need sound. Next is a sound bite commentary that cannot focus on the film but seems to be told by people with Alzheimer's. During the commentary pieces of the film are presented again.

In the end, we do not see much progress in film style and as I stated in the first this is targeted to a small audience that must have an unstated agenda. The advantage of film is it is recorded forever and sooner or later the people that want to watch this sort of thing will find it.
