This final part summarizes comics history from late 70s up to now. As the previous episodes, this very short documentary (54 minutes) tries to trace all the facts so it's full but very fast and a bit superficial. What have i noticed ?
In conclusion, this documentary was entertaining and instructive but i can regret that the psychology of super powers is never deepened : sure, it talks about modern mythology but the problematic vigilant aspect and their permanent violence are a bit leftover...
- the incredible legacy of the first superman movie : with the late Christopher Reeves and other, this movie proves that super heroes could be a reality (compare with the Captain America's show that is featured also !)
- the disastrous legacy of the Superman Comics : as told, his death in the 90s was the nail that shuts the coffin of the industry with too much special edition, exclusive covers...
- the disrespect of the companies for their artists : the documentary tell the shameful story of the team who invented Superman, the battle with MacFarlane
- The funny similarity between the art and the drawer : for example, John Byrne has a round figure as his characters, JRJR is more cubic as his, and MacFarlane is slim as his...
- Their undying vitality as comics always rebounds on social trends : gays, civil rights and there, Marvel is frankly better than its Distinctive Concurent !
