NCIS has been a part of my life for a long time and a true sentimental value to me.
From when I was young, I think it carried me afloat and helped me connect with my dad.
I think it taught me a lot of great values in life with its great cast, stories, and conclusions.
One of the important parts has always been David McCallum as Doctor Mallard.
All the amazing stories he had to tell and later on in how he led the way for his assistant to take over his work and showing great pride in it.
This episode made sure to show every trait that made Ducky. To display everything he stood for, to highlight why he always has been such a key piece to the show, and how he connected to all the other characters in the show.
When I think about NCIS, I always think about the great stories all the characters told and a strong team that cared for each other and pushed each other to be the best.
Many times it managed me make at least sob a little at the end, if not cry, but this made sure I'll do throughout the entire episode.
At the end, even though Ducky will be missed, I felt fulfilled. I don't think there was a better way to honor him, and to look back at all the beautiful stories he had to tell throughout the NCIS era.
Rest in Peace, David McCallum, aka. Doctor Donald "Ducky" Mallard.
