colourful portrayal of gay Catalan man
sugarfreepeppermint19 February 2015
A Ventura Pons documentary that portrays Ignasi M, an eccentric, gay, HIV positive, Catalan man. Ignasi has a particular sense of humour which he uses to express his ideas, recount his life, and interact with his friends, family, and strangers.

The film consists of various scenes where Ignasi is seen going to the HIV clinic, a sex shop, pottering about at home, as well as some quick montages of photos from his colourful past. Then there are the personal get-togethers with his father, mother, ex wife, childhood friends, his sons, and various others, with whom he discusses all sorts of topics: sex, religion, relationships, Catalan nationalism, his family history, the Economics of the country and his own personal financial situation. All in different locations within Catalunia.

As well as being an interesting peek into the life of Ignasi, this film is also a portrayal of Catalan culture.
