A real story. In some measure autobiographycal, the director being Miss France 2000 who is main character of film.
At the end of it, temptation to be critic. And some good motives. But it is a beautiful film. For themes, for story, for fair perspective about racism , for supperficil, indeed, but fair portrait of comunity expectations, tension of contest and the maturisation of a young woman. Not last, nice sketches of friendship.
In fact, the only problem, for me, remains ...the final, too...didacticist.
But I appreciated the performances, the freshness of image of neiborghood and the drawings of steps of Miss France contest. So, more than decent.
